How much does Close cost?

The real price of the sales CRM, plan by plan, add-ons included.

Short answer: Close starts at $9/mo on the Solo plan billed annually ($19 monthly), capped at one user, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card needed. For a real team, the first multi-user plan is Essentials at $35/user/mo annually. Because everything is billed per seat, one more rep means one more subscription. You will see every plan, every add-on, and what you actually pay based on your team size.

The headline-price trap

Close is billed per seat

The price you see is per user. With Close, it is not a module that inflates your bill, it is your team size, plus a few usage add-ons. Here is what actually weighs on the total.

The cost per rep

This is lever number one. On Growth annual at $99/user, a team of 5 pays $495/mo, a team of 10 pays $990/mo. The headline plan tells you nothing about your real bill: always multiply by the number of seats.

Calling and numbers

Calling is native, but lines and numbers cost extra: premium numbers at $19/mo per line, lines from $1/mo, and call and SMS usage billed by consumption depending on the country.

Call Assistant (call AI)

AI call transcription and analysis are an add-on: $50/mo base plus $0.02 per minute of usage. On high call volumes, it adds up fast.

Organizations and AI credits

Each additional organization costs $50/mo (one secondary org included on Growth and Scale). Chloe AI credits are capped per plan: heavy usage can push you to upgrade a tier.

  • Solo? The $9/mo plan works, but it caps at 1 user and 10,000 leads.
  • Got a team? Multiply the plan price by your seat count before comparing.
  • Calling a lot? Add lines, premium numbers and usage to your math.
  • Want AI transcription? Call Assistant is a $50/mo add-on.
  • Pay annually: that is the main discount across all plans.
Our method

How we price the real cost

Close's headline price is per seat, so it does not tell you what your team actually pays. To price a typical team, we take the Growth plan annually (the most popular) and multiply by the number of reps. Here is the breakdown for a team of 5.

Is Close expensive?

Close pricing versus the alternatives

Close's entry paid plan compared to other sales CRMs. Close includes calling and AI natively, where others bill those pieces on top. Sort by price or by model.

Entry prices pulled in June 2026. All are billed per seat. Pipedrive is the cheapest at entry but bills calling and AI on top. HubSpot has a free CRM but its paid tiers climb fast. Close stands out with calling, email and Chloe AI included in the platform.

The verdict

So, is Close expensive?

Our take after testing it: Close is not the cheapest at entry, but it bundles pieces others bill on top. Here is when it is worth it, and when it stings.

Good value if…

You make a lot of calls and want everything in one tool. At $99/user on Growth, Close includes the power dialer, calling, email and Chloe AI. Bolting an external dialer and AI tool onto a cheaper CRM can quickly cost more.

Too expensive if…

Your team grows fast and you do not call that much. The per-seat model inflates the bill: 10 reps on Growth is $990/mo of platform alone. A CRM like Pipedrive (from $14.90) may be enough if you do not need native calling.

The verdict

Close is an excellent CRM for teams that live on the phone, as long as you accept the per-seat cost. Start on Essentials, only move to Growth for workflows and the power dialer, and buy calling add-ons only if your volume justifies it.

  • Pay annually: it is the simplest discount on every plan.
  • Start on Essentials, move to Growth only for workflows.
  • Always compute plan price × seat count before committing.
  • Use the 14-day free trial, no card, to test the dialer.
  • Watch the calling add-ons (numbers, Call Assistant) that pile up fast.
Pricing FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Close pricing

  • How much does Close cost per month?
Close starts at $9/mo on the Solo plan billed annually ($19 monthly), but that plan is capped at one user and 10,000 leads. For a team, the first multi-user plan is Essentials at $35/user/mo annually ($49 monthly). Then come Growth at $99/user/mo and Scale at $139/user/mo annually. Because everything is billed per seat, your real bill depends on the number of reps. The smart move is to multiply the plan price by your seats before comparing.
  • How much does Close cost per year?
Billed annually, the Solo plan works out to about $108/yr for one user, Essentials to about $420/yr per seat, Growth to about $1,188/yr per seat and Scale to about $1,668/yr per seat. For a team, multiply by the number of reps: a team of 5 on Growth is about $5,940/yr. Annual billing is the main discount Close offers. Always check the exact price on the official page before paying, tiers can change.
  • Does Close have a free plan?
No, Close has no permanent free plan. It does offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee after purchase. The trial gives you access to the features so you can test the CRM, calling, email and Chloe AI on your own data. That is enough to validate the dialer and your sales flow before committing. After 14 days, you switch to a paid plan to keep going.
  • Is calling included in Close pricing?
Calling, email and SMS are built into the platform from the Solo plan, a real edge over CRMs with no native dialer. Lines and numbers, however, cost extra: premium numbers are $19/mo per line, lines start at $1/mo, and call and SMS usage is billed by consumption depending on the country. The power dialer arrives on Growth and the predictive dialer on Scale. So count native calling as included, but minutes and numbers on top.
  • How much does Close cost for a team of 5?
For a team of 5 reps on Growth billed annually, budget about $495/mo of platform (5 × $99), before add-ons. On Essentials, the same team works out to about $175/mo (5 × $35), but without workflows or the power dialer. Add premium numbers ($19 per line) and call usage if your team calls a lot. The per-seat model means every rep added is a full subscription: that is the main driver of your bill.
  • Is Close more expensive than Pipedrive or HubSpot?
At entry, yes and no. Pipedrive is the cheapest with a plan from $14.90/user/mo, and HubSpot offers a free CRM with paid tiers from $15/seat. Close starts at $9 on Solo but that plan is capped at one user, and its first team plan (Essentials) is $35/user. The difference is that Close includes calling, email and Chloe AI natively, where Pipedrive and HubSpot often bill those pieces on top. For a team that calls heavily, Close can end up cheaper all in.
  • What is the difference between the Essentials, Growth and Scale plans?
Essentials ($35/user/mo annual) covers the core CRM with unlimited seats and leads, unlimited contacts and team collaboration, but no automation. Growth ($99/user/mo), the most popular plan, adds automated workflows, the power dialer, bulk email, custom activities and Chloe AI in workflows. Scale ($139/user/mo) targets structured teams with role-based access, lead visibility rules, the predictive dialer, unlimited recording and custom objects. The higher you go, the more automation and control you unlock.
  • Is there a discount for paying Close annually?
Yes. Annual billing is the main discount Close offers: the Solo plan drops from $19 to $9/mo, Essentials from $49 to $35/user, Growth from $109 to $99/user and Scale from $149 to $139/user. So it is the simplest lever to pay less. There is no reliable recurring official promo code, be wary of third-party coupon pages. The best move stays annual commitment, plus only paying for the plan your team truly needs.
  • What are the hidden costs of Close?
The main one is not really hidden: it is the per-seat model, which makes your bill climb with each rep added. Alongside it, several add-ons stack up by usage: premium phone numbers ($19/mo per line), Call Assistant for AI transcription ($50/mo plus $0.02/minute), additional organizations ($50/mo each, one included on Growth and Scale) and call and SMS usage by consumption. Chloe AI credits are also capped per plan. Add up these line items to know your real cost.
  • Can you cancel Close easily?
Yes, the subscription cancels from your account, and Close offers a 30-day money-back guarantee after purchase, which limits the risk on early payments. On monthly plans there is no long commitment. Remember to export your data, your leads and your call history before closing your account, and to retrieve your phone numbers if you plan to port them elsewhere. Check the exact refund terms on the official page, they can change.
