Adalo vs Ksaar 2026

Short answer: pick Adalo if you need a native iOS or Android app published to the App Store fast; pick Ksaar if you are building a multi-device internal tool that must run on desktop, tablet and phone with French data hosting. Both score 3.9/5 overall in our hands-on tests, but they win on opposite ground.

The angle nobody updated: Adalo shipped Ada AI on March 10, 2026, which generates a full multi-screen app with database and navigation from a single sentence, on every plan including Free, with no usage caps. Meanwhile Ksaar runs on Scaleway in France with ISO 27001 and HDS 1-6 certified hosting, and HDS v2.0 became fully effective in May 2026, so it is one of the few no-code platforms cleared for French healthcare data. Those two facts decide most of this match.

Criterion by criterion, head to head

The same five criteria we scored on each tool's review page. Equal scores still get a clear pick.

Round 1 · Ease of use

01 Round 1: getting your first app live.

Adalo
4.5/5
WinnerAdalo
Ksaar
4.2/5
Our verdictEase of use · Winner : Adalo

Adalo wins this 4.5 to 4.2, and the gap is real for a first-time builder. Adalo is a blank-canvas drag-and-drop editor where a working mobile prototype is achievable in about three hours per tested reviewer. Ada AI, launched March 10, 2026, cuts that further: Magic Start generates a full app structure from a plain-language sentence in seconds, including database tables, navigation and screen layouts. The Excel and Airtable-style database management feels immediately familiar to non-technical users, and X-Ray flags performance issues before they reach your users, which lowers the debugging overhead for people who do not write code.

Ksaar is also drag-and-drop, but its rows-and-columns grid system asks you to learn the layout paradigm before you build, and typical onboarding runs several days with Ksaar Academy or partner training. Its relational database model is more powerful than Adalo's but needs time to grasp, and the multi-device builder adds responsive layout decisions, tablet versus desktop versus phone breakpoints, that Adalo simply avoids by staying mobile only. The documentation covers every concept, yet the investment is real. For a non-technical founder who needs to be in market within a week, Adalo is the lower floor.

Adalo

Choose Adalo if you are non-technical and need a working app within days, not weeks.

Ksaar

Choose Ksaar if your team will invest one or two days of setup for a tool that replaces internal software long term.

Round 2 · Value for money

02 Round 2: where the real bill lands.

Adalo
3.5/5
WinnerKsaar
Ksaar
3.8/5
Our verdictValue for money · Winner : Ksaar

Ksaar takes this 3.8 to 3.5, and the structural difference decides it. Ksaar prices per workspace: €21/mo covers up to 3 internal and 100 external users, and the cost stays flat as the team adds use cases. Adalo prices per published app, so an agency building 6 client apps pays $250/mo on Business versus $160/mo for 5 on Team, a $90 jump for one extra app. Reviewers flag this per-app cliff repeatedly as the most opaque part of Adalo's pricing.

Both tools have a value trap, and honesty matters here. Ksaar's gotcha is that SMS and email are pay-per-use on top of the flat fee: SMS runs 9 cents per message on Starter and 7 cents on Business, so a field app sending 500 messages a month adds €45 on Starter. Adalo's counter-argument is genuine: Ada AI is included on every plan, even Free, with no token charges and no caps, which makes it strictly cheaper than vibe-coding rivals that gate AI behind premium tiers. Ksaar Business at €112/mo covers 10 internal users with unlimited records, HDS hosting and 150 GB, strong value for an internal-tool team; the nearest Adalo plan, Professional at $52/mo, is cheaper but covers only 2 apps, no compliance and 25,000 records. Price your own notification volume and app count before assuming either one is cheaper.

Adalo

Choose Adalo when a single mobile app with unlimited built-in AI is the core need and you count cost per app.

Ksaar

Choose Ksaar for internal-tool teams where flat workspace pricing beats Adalo's per-app model.

Round 3 · Features and depth

03 Round 3: raw power in two different registers.

Adalo
4.0/5
Tie
Ksaar
4.0/5
Our verdictFeatures and depth · Tie

This round is a genuine 4.0 to 4.0 tie because the two platforms are deep in opposite directions and neither dominates the other's core ground. Adalo's strengths are built for consumer mobile: true native iOS and Android binary publishing (IPA and APK, not a web wrapper), Ada AI as the deepest AI integration in the no-code mobile category since its March 10, 2026 launch, the Adalo 3.0 infrastructure with 99.11% uptime and support for over a million monthly active users with an external Xano backend, native Stripe payments, plus push notifications and geolocation from Professional up.

Ksaar's strengths are built for internal business tools: multi-device responsive apps in one builder, native PDF generation and export, Word document autofill, certified electronic signatures, native SMS and email, offline mode for field usage, a relational database with role-based permissions and complex workflow logic, a QR code reader, and an AI workflow action supporting OpenAI and Mistral models. The key asymmetry is that you cannot publish a Ksaar app to the App Store, and you cannot build an offline field tool with certified e-signatures in Adalo. The right answer depends entirely on whether you are shipping a consumer app or replacing internal software.

Adalo

Choose Adalo for consumer mobile apps that need native publishing and AI-assisted building.

Ksaar

Choose Ksaar for business process apps that need compliance, multi-device, document generation and offline support.

Round 4 · Customer support and assistance

04 Round 4: who answers when it breaks.

Adalo
3.5/5
WinnerKsaar
Ksaar
3.7/5
Our verdictCustomer support and assistance · Winner : Ksaar

Ksaar wins this 3.7 to 3.5, mostly on the depth of its training ecosystem. Ksaar offers a Discord community on all plans, a paid support option on Business, and Capterra confirms phone, email and chat channels with in-person and live online training. Ksaar Academy provides structured tutorials, and certified partners such as InPulp and Batispirit run multi-day in-person training for teams. For a business team that needs onboarding rather than just answers, that is meaningfully deeper than a community-first model.

Adalo support is ticket-only through a form, with no live chat and no phone support on any plan. The community forum is active but relies on volunteer builders, and the Team plan is the only tier with a response commitment, a 1-day SLA. Multiple forum threads document ticket replies that existed in the support tool but never reached the user's inbox, a spam-routing issue, and Capterra complaints about slow and unhelpful responses persist into 2026. Adalo's self-serve community works well for a solo founder; it is thinner than Ksaar's offering for a team that needs accountable help.

Adalo

Choose Adalo if you are a solo founder comfortable with forum self-help and the community ecosystem.

Ksaar

Choose Ksaar for any professional team that needs accountable support with SLA options and structured training.

Round 5 · Available integrations

05 Round 5: 3,000+ connectors vs the mobile marketplace.

Adalo
3.8/5
WinnerKsaar
Ksaar
3.9/5
Our verdictAvailable integrations · Winner : Ksaar

Ksaar wins this 3.9 to 3.8 on raw breadth. Ksaar reaches 3,000+ external apps through Zapier, plus native Make and n8n connectors, and ships native links to enterprise systems such as Salesforce and SAP-adjacent tools, with a native QR code scanner. A Claude integration is available via Make, confirmed June 11, 2026, and API limits run 100 calls per minute on Starter and are unlimited on Business. For an internal tool that must talk to HR systems, ERP or an existing CRM, that breadth is directly relevant.

Adalo runs around 50 marketplace components, with top native integrations including Stripe, Gmail, Google Drive, Airtable, Trello and Xano, REST API access from Professional up, and connections through Zapier, Make, Pipedream and n8n. The marketplace covers consumer app features well: maps, charts, ad monetization, social login. The honest cost is that several of those components are paid add-ons, from $0 to about $30 each, which adds total-cost complexity for feature-rich apps. Adalo's integrations are more relevant for consumer app needs; Ksaar's are more relevant for enterprise stacks.

Adalo

Choose Adalo for consumer app integrations like payments, social auth, analytics and ad networks.

Ksaar

Choose Ksaar for enterprise tech stacks that need ERP, CRM and document automation at scale.

The shortlist

Pick by scenario

Choose Adalo if...

  • Your goal is a native iOS or Android app published to the App Store and Google Play, Ksaar cannot publish native binaries at all
  • You need to go from idea to working prototype in hours, Ada AI builds a complete multi-screen app from one sentence, even on the free plan
  • Your team is non-technical and speed of learning is the priority, Adalo's drag-and-drop canvas has the lowest floor for mobile app creation
  • You are building a consumer app needing push notifications, geolocation, in-app purchases, social sign-in and ad monetization
  • Budget is tight and you are building a single app, Starter at $36/mo with unlimited Ada AI undercuts most mobile-native alternatives

Choose Ksaar if...

  • Your app must work on desktop, tablet and mobile, Ksaar is responsive across all devices natively while Adalo is mobile only
  • Your app must work offline in the field, on a factory floor, construction site or healthcare visit, Ksaar supports offline mode and Adalo does not
  • Your data must stay in France or the EU and you operate in a regulated sector, Ksaar is HDS 1-6 certified on Scaleway with HDS v2.0 effective May 2026
  • Your use case needs native PDF generation, certified e-signatures, Word autofill or SMS and email sending, all native in Ksaar
  • You are replacing internal enterprise software like ERP, CRM or field service management where flat workspace pricing and a relational database fit the job

FAQ · 10 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Is Adalo or Ksaar better for a non-technical founder in 2026?
Adalo wins on pure speed to first app. Ada AI, launched March 2026, generates a complete multi-screen mobile app, database, navigation and screens, from one prompt. On Ksaar, building your first app means understanding the rows-and-columns grid and the relational data model, which typically takes a few days. If the goal is a mobile MVP in hours, choose Adalo. If the goal is replacing an internal business process across devices, the extra Ksaar setup time pays off.
  • What is the real cost of Adalo vs Ksaar for a 5-person team in 2026?
Adalo: if the team builds a single app, Professional at $52/mo ($624/yr) covers 5 editors and 2 published apps. Three separate apps push you to Team at $160/mo ($1,920/yr), with no per-user charge. Ksaar: Starter at €21/mo (€252/yr) covers 3 internal users and 100 external, with SMS billed on top if the app sends notifications, and Business at €112/mo covers 10 internal users. For a simple single-app team, Adalo is cheaper. For a multi-app or multi-device team where workspace value matters, Ksaar wins.
  • Can I publish a Ksaar app to the Apple App Store?
No. Ksaar applications are web-based responsive PWAs. They run in the browser and can be added to a mobile home screen, but they are not published to the App Store or Google Play as native binaries. If native store publishing is a requirement, Adalo is the correct tool in this comparison: Adalo publishes true native IPA files for iOS and APK files for Android, not web wrappers.
  • Does Adalo work for healthcare apps in France?
Adalo is US-hosted with no EU or French data residency option, so for healthcare apps requiring HDS certification (Hebergeur de Donnees de Sante, French health data hosting law) Adalo does not qualify. Ksaar is hosted in France by Scaleway, which carries HDS 1-6 certification, updated to HDS v2.0 in May 2026. For any French healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical software that needs HDS compliance, Ksaar is the appropriate platform.
  • Are Adalo's performance issues fixed, or is the database still slow in 2026?
Adalo 3.0, launched November 2025, was a full infrastructure overhaul delivering a 3 to 4x speed improvement and 99.11% uptime in early 2026, with support for over a million monthly active users per app. However, Adalo's internal database still degrades noticeably past 5,000 to 10,000 records for list-heavy apps. For data-intensive apps, connecting an external backend like Xano is the recommended path and adds cost, $29/mo for Xano Launch. The gains are real and documented, but Adalo is best for apps that stay within reasonable record counts or use an external backend.
  • Does Ksaar have AI features?
Yes, but differently from Adalo. Ksaar's AI is a workflow action, not a builder assistant. You configure an AI step in a workflow that calls OpenAI (GPT-3.5 through the GPT-5 family) or Mistral models to generate text, analyze files or produce structured output, which is powerful for AI-generated summaries, smart form suggestions or document drafting inside the app. Adalo's Ada AI, by contrast, helps you build the app itself with Magic Start and Magic Add. Both approaches are legitimate; they solve different problems.
  • How do Adalo and Ksaar compare on integrations?
Ksaar connects to 3,000+ external apps through Zapier, Make and n8n, with native connectors for enterprise systems. Adalo has a marketplace of around 50 components and relies on Zapier, Make, Xano and a REST API for external connections. For enterprise internal tools that need to reach Salesforce, SAP-adjacent tools or existing CRMs, Ksaar's breadth is more relevant. For consumer apps that need Stripe, Apple and Google sign-in, push notifications and ad networks, Adalo's marketplace components are more directly useful.
  • Is Ksaar simply a French alternative to Adalo?
Ksaar is a French no-code platform, but it is not just an Adalo in French. The two tools serve fundamentally different purposes: Adalo builds consumer-facing native mobile apps, while Ksaar builds multi-device internal business tools. If you want a French-hosted, RGPD-native, multi-device internal-tool builder, Ksaar fits. If you want a mobile app on the App Store with AI-assisted building, Ksaar cannot replicate what Adalo does, regardless of language or hosting preference.
  • What is the cheapest way to launch a no-code app: Adalo or Ksaar?
For a single mobile prototype without publishing, Adalo Free is $0 with 500 records and Ada AI included. For a published mobile app, Adalo Starter is $36/mo. For a multi-device internal tool with up to 3 internal and 100 external users, Ksaar Starter is €21/mo, roughly $23 at current rates. Ksaar's free plan gives more records, 1,000 versus 500, and multi-user access, but cannot publish native apps. Adalo's free plan includes Ada AI and unlimited test apps, a stronger evaluation environment for mobile.
  • Can I migrate from Adalo to Ksaar, or the other way around?
There is no direct import path between the two platforms. Both allow CSV data export, so database records can be migrated manually, but the application logic, screens, navigation flows and action chains, must be rebuilt from scratch. No automation tool maps Adalo components to Ksaar workflows or the reverse. A move between these tools is a rebuild, not a migration. Budget at least one to three weeks for a simple app, more for complex business logic, because the architectural gap usually means you are also changing use case, not just tools.
