How Much Does Softr Cost?
The real price of the no-code app builder, plan by plan, add-ons included.
Short answer: Softr has a free plan (10 app users, unlimited published apps), then paid plans from $49/month on Basic with annual billing ($59 monthly), plus a 30-day trial. The real price lever is not the number of apps (unlimited) but the number of app users: 20 on Basic, 100 on Professional, 500 on Business. And a few add-ons can push the bill higher. We walk through every plan and what you really pay for your profile.

Softr, the key numbers
What each Softr plan costs
These are Softr's plans. The key point: published apps and collaborators are unlimited on every tier, even free. What sets the price is the number of app users (team members and client users share one limit) and the data caps. Prices shown annually, the lowest; monthly costs roughly 20% more.

What pushes the Softr bill up
The plan price does not tell the whole story. Several add-ons and caps can lift the total, especially if you run many apps or many clients. Here are the real cost lines to watch.
App users (the real meter)
At Softr, team members and client users share one limit: 20 on Basic, 100 on Professional, 500 on Business. On Professional you add users in packs of 10 for +$10/month, up to 250. Past that, you move to Business. It is this meter, not the number of apps, that sets your plan.
Multiple workspaces
The part that surprises agencies: each extra workspace is a fully separate subscription. If you isolate each client's apps in its own workspace, you pay for several Softr plans, not one. Plan that in before you scale.
Domains and AI credits
An extra custom domain costs +$13/month. The AI features (generation, assistance) run on credits, included in small amounts per plan; beyond that, add-on packs range from $10 to $500/month. Worth sizing if AI is central to your app.
Data limits
Database records and workflow actions are capped per plan (50,000 records and 2,500 actions on Basic, 500,000 and 10,000 on Professional). Heavy usage can force an upgrade even when you have few app users.
- How many app users total (clients + team)? That picks your plan.
- Several isolated clients? Each workspace is billed on its own.
- Need several domains? Budget +$13/month per domain.
- Is AI central to your app? Plan for the credit packs.
- Heavy data or workflow usage? Check the plan caps.
How we size the real cost
Softr's price hinges mostly on one variable: the number of app users you need. To size the real cost, we start from the plan whose user limit covers your usage, on annual billing, then add the likely add-ons (workspaces, domains, AI credits). Here is the reasoning, line by line.
- App usersClients and team share one limitKey meter
- Entry planBasic, 20 users, enough to start$49
- WorkspacesEach workspace is its own plan+ subscriptions
- Add-onsExtra domains and AI credits+$13 / AI

Softr's price versus the alternatives
Softr's entry price compared with the other no-code app builders we have tested. The models differ: Softr bills per app user, Bubble per workload unit, Glide per user and updates.
Entry prices checked June 2026. Different billing models.
Softr
Billed per app user
- Free plan: 10 app users
- Unlimited apps and collaborators
- Fastest path to a client portal
Glide
Billed per user
- Limited free plan
- Very strong on mobile
- Cost climbs with updates
Bubble
Billed per workload unit
- Free plan to prototype
- Far more flexible, more technical
- Bill hard to forecast upfront
Entry prices checked June 2026 on the official pages. Softr stands out for its simplicity (portals and internal apps wired to Airtable or its own database) and unlimited apps from the free tier. Bubble is more powerful but more complex and unpredictable on the bill. Glide shines on mobile, but its cost climbs with usage.
So, is Softr expensive?
Our take after testing it: Softr is well priced as long as your app-user count stays contained. Here is when it pays off, and how to pay less.
Good value if…
You are building a client portal or internal app with a controlled number of users. At $49/month on Basic with unlimited apps, a custom domain and branding removed, Softr is one of the fastest ways to ship a real app into production without code.
Less appealing if…
You quickly outgrow the app-user caps or run many clients in separate workspaces. Multiplying workspaces multiplies subscriptions, and the gap between Professional ($139) and Business ($269) can sting if all you need is more users.
The verdict
Softr is excellent value for portals and internal apps with a controlled audience. Start on free or Basic, pay annually, and only move up a plan once your app-user limit is truly maxed out.
- Pay annually: roughly 2 months free on each plan.
- Stay on free while you have fewer than 10 app users.
- On Professional, add users in tens (+$10) before jumping to Business.
- Keep your apps in one workspace to avoid multiple subscriptions.
- Use the 30-day trial to validate before you pay.
Frequently asked questions about Softr pricing
How much does Softr cost per month?
Softr has a free-forever plan that includes 10 app users and unlimited published apps. Paid plans start at $49/month on Basic with annual billing, or $59/month billed monthly, with 20 app users and Softr branding removed. Above that, Professional is $139/month annual ($167 monthly) with 100 users, and Business is $269/month annual ($323 monthly) with 500 users. It is not the number of apps that sets your plan, but the number of app users you need.Does Softr have a free plan?
Yes, and it is generous for getting started. Softr's free plan is free forever, with no credit card, and includes 10 app users, unlimited published apps and unlimited collaborators. You can connect your data source (Airtable, Google Sheets or the Softr database) and publish a real app. The main limits are the Softr branding shown on the app, a lower record cap and fewer workflow actions. For an MVP or a small project, it is often enough to pay nothing at all. What is the price difference between monthly and annual on Softr?
Annual billing effectively means paying for about 10 months out of 12, roughly 2 months free versus monthly. In practice, Basic drops from $59 to $49/month, Professional from $167 to $139/month and Business from $323 to $269/month when you pay yearly. That is the main lever to pay Softr less. If you are unsure about committing, start with the 30-day trial on monthly, then switch to annual once your usage is validated. What is an app user on Softr and why does it matter?
An app user is anyone who logs into your Softr application: team members and client users all count toward a single shared limit. That meter is what determines your plan: 10 on free, 20 on Basic, 100 on Professional and 500 on Business. The collaborators who build the app, by contrast, are unlimited on every plan. So before picking a plan, estimate how many end users will log in, not how many apps you will build. How much does Softr cost for an agency or multiple clients?
This is the part to plan for: at Softr, each extra workspace is a separate subscription. If you isolate your clients' apps in distinct workspaces, you pay for several Softr plans, not one. Two options: group client apps in one workspace on a Business plan (500 app users) at around $269/month, or run multiple Professional workspaces at $139/month each. The choice depends on the isolation and permissions you need. Add $13/month per extra custom domain. What happens if I exceed the app-user limit?
On the Professional plan you can add app users in packs of 10 for +$10/month, up to a maximum of 250 users. Beyond that, you move to the Business plan, which includes 500 app users for $269/month annually. On Basic, the 20-user limit is not extendable: exceeding it forces an upgrade to Professional. That is why it pays to estimate your user growth before choosing, so you avoid jumping abruptly from one tier to the next.Which add-ons push the Softr bill up?
Beyond the plan price, three lines can lift the total. First, extra app users on Professional (+$10/month per pack of 10). Second, additional custom domains, at $13/month each. Third, AI credits: the AI features run on credits, included in small amounts per plan, then billed in packs from $10 to $500/month depending on volume. On top of that, multiple workspaces each carry their own subscription. List the add-ons you genuinely need before sizing your budget. Is Softr cheaper than Bubble or Glide?
It depends on the model. Softr bills by app users (from $49/month on Basic), with unlimited apps. Bubble bills by workload units, starting at $29/month on Starter, but the bill is harder to estimate and climbs quickly with usage. Glide bills by users and updates, with a Maker plan around $25/month. For a client portal or a simple internal app, Softr is often the most predictable. For a highly custom, technical app, Bubble offers more flexibility, at the cost of greater complexity. Is there a free trial on Softr?
Yes. On top of the free-forever plan, Softr offers a 30-day trial on its paid plans. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial period ends. That is enough to test a higher plan's features in real conditions: branding removal, custom domain, advanced permissions, larger data volumes. The smart move is to validate your app and your app-user count during the trial, then switch to annual billing to pay less. Can I remove Softr branding and use my own domain?
Yes, but not on the free plan. Softr branding stays visible on free-plan apps. From the Basic plan at $49/month annual, the branding is removed and you can connect your own custom domain. If you need several domains, each additional domain costs $13/month. For a professional or client-facing app, Basic is therefore the recommended minimum: below it, the app carries Softr's branding rather than yours.
