Seamless.AI Review 2026

Seamless.AI is a real-time B2B sales intelligence platform: a contact-data search engine plus a Chrome extension that pulls business emails, direct dials, and mobile numbers off LinkedIn and company sites. It competes head-on with Apollo.io and ZoomInfo, claims access to 1.8B+ verified emails and 414M+ phone numbers, and ships a genuine free tier of 50 lifetime credits. On the product side, a lot of people like it: G2 sits around 4.4/5 across 5,000+ reviews, Capterra at 4.5/5 over 540. So far, so normal.

The problem is what happens around the product. Trustpilot tells the opposite story at 1.4/5, and the BBB lists 79 complaints in three years (42 of them never answered). The recurring theme is billing: a 60-day cancellation-notice window, auto-renewal with no reminder, charges after cancellation requests, and no self-serve way to cancel. This review covers both sides honestly, the real pricing, the data-accuracy gap, how cancellation actually works, and how it stacks up against Apollo, ZoomInfo and Lusha, so you decide with the full picture, not the marketing one.

Our review of Seamless.AI in summary

Tested by
Romain Cochard
CEO of Hack'celeration

Seamless.AI is a capable contact-data tool wrapped in a billing model we cannot recommend without a loud warning. The Chrome extension is fast, the free tier (50 lifetime credits) is a real way to try it, and a lot of reps genuinely like the day-to-day workflow, which is why G2 holds 4.4/5 across 5,000+ reviews and Capterra 4.5/5 over 540. The core job, finding emails and phone numbers at speed, gets done.

Our overall score of 2.7 reflects the other half of the story. The advertised 98% accuracy collides with reported 20 to 30% email bounce rates. Pricing is opaque (Pro and Enterprise need a sales call). And the contract terms are the real dealbreaker: a 60-day cancellation-notice window, auto-renewal with no reminder, charges after people try to cancel, and no self-serve cancellation. Trustpilot sits at 1.4/5 and the BBB logged 79 complaints in three years, 42 of them never answered. Useful tool, genuinely risky paperwork. Read the contract clauses before you sign anything.

The Hack'celeration verdict

We tested Seamless.AI on five criteria.

One honest score per criterion, with the wins and the catches.

Criterion 01 · Ease of use

Test Seamless.AI: Ease of use.

3.4/5

This is the part of Seamless.AI that earns its G2 score. The Chrome extension is the whole point: you sit on a LinkedIn profile or a company site, click once, and it surfaces emails and phone numbers without leaving the page. We built a list of 100+ contacts in a few minutes the first time we tried it, no manual onboarding call needed. The free tier of 50 lifetime credits means you can test the real workflow before paying, which is more than a lot of data tools allow.

The Prospector search inside the web app is clean too. You filter by title, company, industry, location, then reveal contacts one credit at a time. Basic prospecting has a genuinely low learning curve. Where it gets heavier is everything beyond the basics. Autopilot, the AI Agents (Outbound, Inbound, Ops and the rest), CRM enrichment and the API all need real setup time, and the onboarding experience is inconsistent: some accounts get a customer-success call, others get the self-serve knowledge base and not much else. The Pro plan also runs on daily credits that reset at midnight UTC and do not roll over, so the interface quietly pushes you to burn credits or lose them.

Verdict: fast and intuitive for click-and-grab list building, which is what most people buy it for. The advanced modules and the daily-credit clock are where the smooth first impression starts to fray.

Criterion 02 · Value for money

Test Seamless.AI: Value for money.

2.2/5

This is where the score drops hard, and it is the contract, not the sticker price, that does the damage. Seamless.AI does not publish full paid prices: the free tier is $0 for 50 lifetime credits, the Basic plan is reported around $147/user/month billed annually (about $0.59 per credit), and Pro and Enterprise require a sales call. Third-party estimates put Pro anywhere from $147 to $299/user/month, with at least one Reddit user (July 2025) quoting $79/user for a larger team. You cannot budget cleanly against a rate card that does not exist publicly.

Then the terms. Contracts are annual, and to cancel you have to give notice 60 days before the renewal date. Miss that window by a couple of weeks and you are locked into another 12 months. Multiple users report being auto-renewed with no reminder, and the BBB has one complaint citing a charge $2,000 over the stated amount. Add-ons (Buyer Intent, Autopilot, Enrichment, Job Changes) are separate charges on lower tiers that users say were not clearly disclosed at signup. On Pro, the daily credits that expire at midnight UTC mean you are paying for capacity you structurally cannot fully use.

Verdict: the product can be worth it for a high-volume US sales team that will genuinely exhaust the credits and stay for the full term. For everyone else, the 60-day notice clause, the auto-renewal, and the opaque pricing make this poor value and a real financial risk. Apollo.io publishes its pricing and has a more accessible free tier, which is the cleaner starting point for most teams.

Criterion 03 · Features and depth

Test Seamless.AI: Features and depth.

3.3/5

On paper the feature list is broad. Prospector is the core engine, searching a database the company puts at 1.8B+ emails and 414M+ phone numbers with real-time AI verification at query time. Around it sit Buyer Intent Data, Job Changes tracking, Data Enrichment for cleaning and appending CRM records, Pitch Intelligence for AI-written outreach, a full set of AI Agents, Autopilot for fresh daily lists, a Connect engagement hub with a dialer, and a Universal API. For a data layer, that is a lot of surface area.

The catch is accuracy, and it is the most documented gripe after billing. Seamless markets a 98% accuracy rate; independent user reports across G2, Capterra and Reddit consistently land at 20 to 30% email bounce rates, and one tester estimated roughly 85% email and 60% phone accuracy in their own data. It is worse for SMBs, non-executive roles, mobile numbers and anyone outside the US. Stale job titles come up again and again. The practical takeaway every reviewer repeats: never push a Seamless export straight into a cold campaign without running it through a separate email verifier first.

There is also a structural gap. Seamless is a data layer, not an outreach platform: there is no real cold-email sequencer the way Apollo.io ships one, so you still need a sending tool downstream. And because the whole workflow leans on the LinkedIn-facing extension, any LinkedIn policy change can disrupt your primary way of working.

Verdict: genuinely feature-rich for finding and enriching contacts, and the real-time verification angle is sound in theory. But the gap between the 98% claim and real bounce rates, plus the missing sequencer, keep this from scoring higher.

Criterion 04 · Customer support and assistance

Test Seamless.AI: Customer support and assistance.

2.0/5

Support is the lowest score here, and the reason is specific rather than vague. On paper the channels look fine: a self-serve knowledge base, support tickets, a US phone line (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST), an in-app chatbot, daily live webinars, and an on-demand Seamless Academy. The stated SLA is a same-day response on business days. For a product question or a how-to, lower-plan users still report slow human responses, but it broadly works.

The breakdown is around billing and cancellation, and that is exactly where you most need a human. The BBB record is hard to ignore: 79 complaints in three years, 42 of them never answered by the business, and it is not BBB accredited. The most common categories are billing issues, order issues and product issues. One BBB complainant trying to cancel wrote, plainly, “There literally is no way to do this.” When the single most consequential interaction, getting out of an auto-renewing annual contract, is also the one users say goes unanswered, the published same-day SLA stops meaning much.

The better experiences cluster at the top. Enterprise accounts with a dedicated Success Manager and quarterly business reviews report being looked after. But that tier is a custom quote, so the support you actually want is paywalled behind the most expensive contract. Note too that support explicitly excludes custom integration development, system administration, custom Zapier troubleshooting, and data-compliance advice.

Verdict: passable for everyday product questions, genuinely poor where it counts. A 42-unanswered-complaint record on billing is not a one-off, it is a pattern, and it is the main reason this criterion sits at 2.0.

Criterion 05 · Available integrations

Test Seamless.AI: Available integrations.

3.2/5

Integration coverage is solid for a US sales stack. Native CRM connectors include Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho, Pipedrive, Close, Copper, Keap, Insightly and a few more. On the engagement side it plugs into Outreach, Salesloft and Mixmax, Greenhouse covers recruiting, and Zapier (plus n8n via the community) handles anything without a native connector. The Universal API is listed as available even on the free plan, which is unusually generous and useful if you want to pipe contacts straight into a custom pipeline.

Two things keep this from scoring higher. First, the marketing number does not match the verified one: Seamless claims 6,000+ tool connections across its wider ecosystem, but only the connectors above are confirmed native on the product page. The rest lean on Zapier-style middleware, which is fine but is not the same as a first-party integration. Second, and more important for a European reader, there is the compliance angle: Seamless states its services are not appropriate for use outside the US, there is no GDPR or CCPA focus, no Do Not Call list checking on phone numbers, and concerns have been raised about data sourced through the browser extension.

Verdict: the integrations a US revenue team needs are present and the free-tier API access is a real plus. The inflated 6,000+ claim and the explicit US-only stance are the reasons this lands at 3.2 rather than higher, especially if you operate in or sell into Europe.

FAQ · 10 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • How do you cancel Seamless.AI?
Cancellation is not self-serve, which is the core complaint. You cannot cancel from a dashboard button. You have to notify Seamless.AI in writing and route it through account management, and crucially you must do this at least 60 days before your annual renewal date. Miss that 60-day window, even by a couple of weeks, and you are auto-renewed into another 12-month contract. Multiple users report no renewal reminder and charges after submitting a cancellation request. Practical advice: put the renewal date minus 60 days in your calendar the day you sign, send written notice well inside that window, and keep proof. The BBB logged 79 complaints in three years, many tied to exactly this process.
  • Is Seamless.AI legit or a scam?
Seamless.AI is a legitimate, widely-used company, not a scam. It is a real B2B contact-data platform with 5,000+ G2 reviews at around 4.4/5 and Capterra at 4.5/5, so plenty of teams use it productively. The reason people search the word scam is the billing experience, not the software. Trustpilot sits at 1.4/5 and the BBB lists 79 complaints in three years (42 never answered), almost all about auto-renewal, the 60-day cancellation window, and post-cancellation charges. So: a real tool with a genuinely problematic contract. Treat it as legitimate but read every clause before you sign, and diarise the cancellation deadline.
  • Is Seamless.AI data accurate?
Partly. Seamless markets a 98% accuracy rate, but independent user reports tell a different story: email bounce rates of 20 to 30% show up consistently across G2, Capterra and Reddit, and one tester measured roughly 85% email and 60% phone accuracy on their own data. Accuracy is worse for SMBs, non-executive roles, mobile numbers and contacts outside the US, and stale job titles are a recurring gripe. The real-time verification helps but does not close the gap. The rule every reviewer repeats: never send a Seamless export straight into a cold campaign. Run it through a dedicated email verifier first to protect your sender reputation.
  • Seamless.AI vs Apollo.io: which is better for cold outreach?
For end-to-end cold outreach, Apollo.io is usually the stronger pick. Apollo combines a contact database with built-in email sequencing and calling, publishes transparent pricing, and has a more accessible free tier than Seamless's 50 lifetime credits. Seamless.AI wins on raw list-building speed through its Chrome extension and real-time verification, so it suits high-volume data extraction. The deciding factor is your stack: if you want one tool that finds contacts and runs the sequence, Apollo. If you already have a sending tool and just need a fast data layer, Seamless can fit, as long as you accept its billing terms and verify the data before sending.
  • How much does Seamless.AI cost?
There is no full public rate card. The free tier is $0 for 50 lifetime credits (one user). The Basic plan is reported around $147/user/month billed annually, roughly $0.59 per credit at about 250 credits a month. Pro and Enterprise require a sales call: third-party estimates put Pro at $147 to $299/user/month (one Reddit user cited $79/user for a larger team), and Enterprise is custom, estimated $300 to $500+ a month. A student plan exists at $19.99/month. Budget carefully: add-ons like Buyer Intent and Autopilot are separate charges on lower tiers, and contracts are annual with a 60-day cancellation notice.
  • Seamless.AI vs ZoomInfo: what is the difference?
ZoomInfo is the heavier, more accurate, more expensive option. It has a larger database, stronger data quality, and deep CRM integrations, but enterprise-grade pricing and a real onboarding process to match. Seamless.AI is cheaper to start, faster for self-serve list building, and has a free tier ZoomInfo does not really offer. The trade-off is data quality and contract risk: ZoomInfo's accuracy is generally rated higher, while Seamless carries the documented bounce-rate gap and the billing complaints. For a large team that can fund it and needs reliability, ZoomInfo. For a smaller team prioritising speed and entry cost, Seamless, with the usual caveats.
  • What is the best alternative to Seamless.AI?
It depends on what is pushing you away. If it is the billing and you want transparency plus built-in sequencing, Apollo.io is the most common switch and has a generous free tier. If you sell into Europe, Cognism is the clear answer: it is GDPR-compliant, phone-verifies mobile numbers, and does DNC checking in 15 countries, which matters because Seamless states it is not appropriate for use outside the US. If you are an individual rep wanting simpler, more transparent pricing and better phone accuracy, Lusha is worth a look. Lead411 is a lower-cost ZoomInfo-style alternative with intent data. Pick by geography and whether you need outreach built in.
  • Does Seamless.AI work in Europe and is it GDPR-compliant?
Not really, and this is important. Seamless.AI explicitly states its services are not appropriate for use outside the US. There is no GDPR or CCPA compliance focus, no Do Not Call list checking on phone numbers, and compliance concerns have been raised about data sourced through the browser extension, including personal emails. Data accuracy is also reported to be worse for non-US contacts. If you are a European team, or a US team selling into the EU or UK, Seamless is the wrong tool on compliance grounds alone. Cognism is built for exactly this case: GDPR-compliant, phone-verified mobiles, and DNC checking across 15 countries.
  • Does Seamless.AI offer a free trial or free plan?
Yes, there is a genuine free plan, not just a time-limited trial. It gives you 50 lifetime credits (not 50 per month, 50 total for the life of the account), one user, real-time search, the Chrome extension, email and phone data, basic CRM integrations, API access, email support, and live training webinars. One credit reveals one contact, email and phone combined, so 50 credits is enough to properly test the workflow but not to run a campaign. The AI Assistant, Data Enrichment, Autopilot and Buyer Intent are not included on free. Once the 50 credits are gone, you upgrade or stop.
  • How does the Seamless.AI credit system work?
One credit equals one contact reveal, the email and phone together. The free plan gives 50 lifetime credits. Paid monthly credits (around 250 on Basic) do not roll over month to month, and on the Pro plan the daily credits reset at midnight UTC and expire unused, which is use-it-or-lose-it by design. Seamless offers 100% Credit Back Protection for emails that come back invalid, though some users dispute whether credits are reliably refunded on failed lookups. Overage packs are reported at around $49 for 500 extra credits. The expiring-credit model is one reason the value-for-money score here is low.
