Outgrow Review 2026

Outgrow is a no-code interactive content platform built for marketers. It lets you build quizzes, calculators, assessments, polls, chatbots, surveys and recommendation engines that capture and qualify leads, without touching a line of code or pulling in a developer. The pitch is simple: replace the static contact form with interactive experiences that people actually want to complete, then score and route those leads into your CRM. Plans run from a free forms tier up to $720/month, with a 7-day full-access free trial and no credit card required.

In this hands-on test we score Outgrow across five criteria: ease of use, value for money, feature depth, customer support and integrations. We dig into the real pricing picture, because the jump from $45 to $115 per month is where most solo marketers stall, and we are honest about the calculation-engine bugs documented in user reviews. You also get direct comparisons with Typeform, Involve.me and Interact. If you are weighing Outgrow for lead generation in 2026, this is the review to read before you commit.

Our review of Outgrow in summary

Tested by
Romain Cochard
CEO of Hack'celeration

Outgrow is one of the most complete interactive content engines we have tested. Nine content types (numerical calculators, outcome quizzes, graded assessments, ecommerce recommendations, polls, chatbots, surveys, forms and landing pages) live under one no-code builder, backed by 1,000+ templates, conditional branching with AND/OR logic, dynamic charts and lead scoring that pushes qualified contacts straight into a CRM. For a marketer who wants interactive lead capture without a developer, the breadth here is genuinely hard to match.

Our overall score of 4.0 reflects that strength balanced against two real catches. The native formula engine has documented accuracy problems on complex calculations, and Excel-formula import is reported as slow to the point of being unusable, which matters a lot if calculators are your main use case. Pricing also jumps sharply from $45/month (7 pieces) to $115/month (unlimited), with no middle ground for a growing solo operator. The 4.9 community average is warmer than our score because reviewers tend to be marketers delighted by conversion lift; we weigh the engineering bugs and the price cliff more heavily.

AI review summarySynthesised from 15 reviews

Across these 15 verified reviews from G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, all 15 reviewers would recommend Outgrow, and the 4.9/5 average reflects a base that is genuinely happy with the tool. Two themes dominate the praise: the responsive support team, mentioned in the large majority of reviews and repeatedly called out as quick and willing to help, and the conversion lift, with marketers reporting that interactive calculators and quizzes outperform standard contact forms and deliver their highest conversion rates. The builder is widely described as easy to use, flexible, and quick for non-technical teams to launch with. The friction points are consistent and worth noting: HubSpot integration setup is flagged more than once as more involved than expected with documentation that could be clearer, advanced formulas and logic require real training before they pay off, cost is called crazy expensive by one COO, and Pipedrive field mapping is limited to one field at a time. Several long-term users add the same caution: be precise about your requirements before you pick a pricing package.

The platform is flexible enough to handle multiple calculator variants without things getting unwieldy, and the output quality is good enough to sit comfortably on a professional B2B marketing site. The one area that needs improvement is the HubSpot integration setup. Getting it configured correctly took more effort than it should, and the documentation could be clearer. That said, the support team was responsive and actually helped us work through the issues, so the friction was resolved.

We use Outgrow to run 10 ROI calculators across our marketing site and landing pages, targeting practice owners and office managers at accounting firms. The calculators let prospects quantify what poor marketing is costing their firm before we ask them to do anything, which converts far better than a standard contact form. HubSpot integration setup was more involved than expected, but the support team was responsive and got us sorted. Once connected, leads flow through cleanly with the data we need. Solid tool for anyone who wants lead capture that actually earns the conversion.

  • Director, Demand GenerationJun 3, 2026

In addition to giving us a new layer of content, their support team is really easy to work with. They are always willing to help.

  • Marketing CoordinatorJun 3, 2026

Outgrow has helped us create more interactive content that helps drive meaningful conversations with our sales team. The product is really easy to use and integrate into our website or other tech. Their support team is always very responsive and willing to help. There are times when things require the assistance of AI in order to customize. But for the most part, it's really straightforward to use.

  • Jun 3, 2026

Outgrow gives us the ability to create engaging and lead-focused interactive content. We can answer pain points and objections of our prospects before they even talk to sales.

  • COOMar 19, 2026

Loved the user interface and design of the software. Felt super modern/current, and had superb ability to brand/customize tools. Cost was crazy expensive. We needed one feature/tool Outgrow offered that a competitor did not and that alone brought the cost up significantly.

The Hack'celeration verdict

We tested Outgrow on five criteria.

One honest score per criterion, with the wins and the catches.

Criterion 01 · Ease of use

Test Outgrow: Ease of use.

4.2/5

The free trial gets you in with no credit card, and from there the builder is the kind of thing a marketer can pick up without a kickoff call. You start from one of the 1,000+ templates, swap the copy and branding, and you have a working quiz or calculator inside the first session. The drag-and-drop editor covers nine content types from a single interface, so once you learn the layout for a quiz, building a poll or a survey feels familiar rather than like a new tool. Reviewers in our corpus echo this: easy to learn, simple for non-technical teams, fast to launch.

The ceiling appears the moment you move past templates. Advanced calculators with multi-step formulas, conditional branching on AND/OR logic, and field mapping into a CRM are not point-and-click anymore. One operations manager put it plainly: the interface is simple to learn, but for advanced formulas and logic you have to understand every feature properly, with proper training, or the tool only delivers limited growth. We hit the same wall. Visual customization beyond what templates expose also pushes you toward CSS and HTML, so design control is not fully no-code once you want something bespoke.

Verdict: genuinely fast for the 80% case, quizzes, polls, simple lead-capture forms, and the template library does a lot of the work. Budget real ramp-up time if calculators with complex logic are your reason for buying, because that is where the learning curve actually lives.

Criterion 02 · Value for money

Test Outgrow: Value for money.

3.4/5

Outgrow's pricing is where opinions split, and our score reflects that. The entry points are reasonable: a free Forms/Surveys tier (4 pieces, 1,200 leads/year), Freelancer Limited at $22/month, and Freelancer Pro at $45/month with 7 content pieces and 12,000 leads a year. For a solo marketer running a handful of calculators, Freelancer Pro is a fair deal. The problem is the cliff right above it. The next tier, Essentials, is $115/month (or $95 annual) and there is nothing in between. You go from 7 pieces to unlimited and from $45 to $115 in a single step, which is exactly where growing solo operators and small agencies stall. The lesser-marketed Startup plans ($35 and $55/month) soften this a little but are easy to miss.

Two annual-billing details matter. The discount is a flat 44% across every tier, so committing yearly genuinely changes the math, Freelancer Pro drops to $25/month, Essentials to $95. And the top of the range is steep: Business is $720/month ($600 annual), and the custom domain you may want for a polished branded experience is gated to that tier. A COO in our review corpus summed up the broader sentiment: the product was great, but cost was crazy expensive once they needed one specific feature a competitor did not have.

The 7-day trial gives full Business-plan access with no card, which is a real way to test before paying. But seven days is tight if you want to validate a calculator at real traffic. Against Typeform, which has a lower entry price, and Involve.me, Outgrow is not the cheap option, it is the feature-rich one. The recurring advice from multi-year users is telling: be precise about your requirements before picking a package, because over-buying or hitting a gate mid-project is the most common regret.

Criterion 03 · Features and depth

Test Outgrow: Features and depth.

4.5/5

This is where Outgrow earns its reputation. The builder ships nine content types, numerical calculators, outcome quizzes, graded tests and assessments, ecommerce recommendations, polls, chatbots, surveys, forms and landing pages, all from one no-code editor. Backing that are 1,000+ templates (claimed to drive conversion above 40%), unlimited question branching with AND/OR logic, and conditional messaging that personalizes the outcome based on each response. Dynamic visualization renders line, pie, bar and radar charts on the fly from user inputs, which is rare at this level and genuinely useful for calculators that need to show a result, not just collect one.

Lead capture is the real point, and it is well thought out: scoring, audience segmentation, a conversion funnel by stage, and per-question drop-off analytics so you can see exactly where people abandon. Publishing is flexible too, full-screen page, iframe embed, popup, chat window, exit-intent or subdomain. The AI Content Maker (launched October 2024) drafts quizzes, calculators and forms from a text prompt, though its depth versus dedicated AI tools is hard to verify from the outside.

The catch is concrete and important: the native formula engine has documented accuracy problems on complex calculations, and Excel-formula import, while supported, is reported as so slow it can make a calculator practically unusable. Several reviewers note that support could not always resolve the native formula accuracy issue. If your use case is a sophisticated financial calculator, test the exact formulas during the trial before you trust them in production.

Criterion 04 · Customer support and assistance

Test Outgrow: Customer support and assistance.

4.4/5

Support is the single most praised thing about Outgrow in our review corpus, and that is not a throwaway line. Reviewer after reviewer calls the team responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely willing to help, a CEO, a demand-generation director, an IT small-business user and a healthcare startup all independently flag it. One reviewer noted support stayed responsive and kind even while their team was transitioning off the tool, which tells you something about how they handle accounts that are not growing. Live chat is confirmed by multiple reviews and praised specifically for being fast and competent.

The channels are live chat plus email at support@outgrow.co, and a help center at support.outgrow.co with getting-started guides and integration FAQs. A priority support tier is mentioned on the Business plan. We did find the documentation a little hit and miss: it exists and covers the platform, but several users note it is not always easy to discover, and one reviewer flagged HubSpot integration docs as something that could be clearer. So the human support is excellent; the self-serve docs are the weaker half.

The honest deduction from a perfect score is the one structural limit reviewers surface repeatedly: even responsive support could not always fix the native formula-accuracy bug, because that is a product issue, not a support one. There is also no public SLA or phone line on the pricing page. But on the day-to-day question of whether a real person helps you fast when you are stuck, Outgrow is among the better tools we have tested, and the community data backs that up strongly.

Criterion 05 · Available integrations

Test Outgrow: Available integrations.

3.9/5

On paper the integration story is strong. Outgrow connects natively to the marketing stack a lead-gen team actually uses, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, AWeber and GetResponse, plus Stripe and PayPal for payments, Dropbox for storage and Slack for alerts. Beyond the native connectors, full Zapier support opens up a claimed 1,000+ apps, and there is an API key plus webhooks with JSON payloads for custom routing into your own systems. For most marketing teams, the CRM or email tool they already run is covered out of the box.

Two caveats keep this from scoring higher. First, the good stuff is plan-gated: standard integrations on lower tiers only pass name and email, while advanced integrations, the ones that pass quiz results, scores and full response data, require Freelancer Pro or above. If lead scoring is why you bought Outgrow, you need to be on the right plan for the data to actually reach your CRM. Second, the native connections are not always frictionless. Reviewers in our corpus flagged HubSpot setup as more involved than expected with documentation that could be clearer, and one noted Pipedrive field mapping is limited to one field at a time, forcing workarounds.

One hard requirement to know upfront: any lead form that connects to a CRM must include an email field, no email field and the integration simply will not fire. It is logical, but it has tripped people up. Verdict: broad coverage and a real API, let down slightly by plan gates on the advanced data and occasional setup friction on specific connectors.

FAQ · 10 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Is Outgrow free to use?
Outgrow has a permanent free tier, Free Forms/Surveys, that covers 4 content pieces and 1,200 leads per year, plus a 7-day free trial of the full Business plan with no credit card required. The free tier is genuinely usable for basic forms and surveys, but it does not unlock the calculators, chatbots, charts or advanced integrations that are the main reason to choose Outgrow. For those you need a paid plan, starting at Freelancer Limited ($22/month) or Freelancer Pro ($45/month). If you only need simple forms at no cost, the free tier works; if you want interactive calculators and lead scoring, plan to upgrade.
  • How much does Outgrow cost per month?
Outgrow pricing runs from a free tier up to $720/month on monthly billing. Freelancer Limited is $22/month, Freelancer Pro is $45/month (7 pieces, 12,000 leads/year), Essentials is $115/month (unlimited pieces, 90,000 leads/year) and Business is $720/month (600,000 leads/year, custom domain). Two less-advertised Startup plans sit at $35 and $55/month. Annual billing applies a flat 44% discount across every tier, so Freelancer Pro drops to $25/month and Essentials to $95/month. Enterprise is custom-quoted. The jump most people feel is from $45 to $115, since there is no middle tier between Freelancer Pro and Essentials.
  • Outgrow vs Typeform: which is better for lead generation?
They solve different problems. Typeform wins on form design, conversational UX and a cleaner mobile experience, and its entry price is lower, so it is the better pick for surveys and elegant forms. Outgrow wins on lead generation depth: it has a real calculator engine, outcome quizzes, lead scoring and conditional logic that Typeform does not match. If your goal is to qualify and score leads with interactive calculators or assessments, Outgrow is built for that. If you mainly need beautiful forms and surveys at a lower price, Typeform is the cleaner choice. For a growth team that needs lead qualification, Outgrow is worth the higher cost.
  • Outgrow vs Involve.me: what are the main differences?
Both are interactive content and funnel builders aimed at lead generation, so they overlap heavily. Involve.me leans toward funnels with built-in payment steps and conversion tracking, and is often positioned as a more affordable Outgrow alternative. Outgrow goes deeper on content variety (nine types including a dedicated calculator engine and ecommerce recommendations), ships 1,000+ templates, and offers a wider set of native CRM integrations. If you want the broadest interactive content toolkit and the largest template library, Outgrow leads. If you want a lighter funnel builder with payments and a lower price point, Involve.me is the closer fit. Test both against your exact use case during their trials.
  • What is the best free alternative to Outgrow?
There is no perfect free clone, because Outgrow's calculator engine and lead scoring are premium features almost everywhere. Outgrow's own free tier (4 pieces, 1,200 leads/year) is the easiest starting point if you want to stay in-platform. Typeform's free plan handles forms and simple quizzes well but lacks calculators. Involve.me has a free tier for basic funnels. For a fully free DIY route, Google Forms plus custom scoring logic can mimic a basic quiz, though you lose the no-code builder, the charts and the CRM integrations. If calculators with formulas are your need, expect to pay on any platform that does them properly.
  • Is Outgrow good for calculators specifically?
Outgrow is one of the most capable calculator builders available, with numerical calculators, if/else statements, mortgage and interest formulas, native formula support and Excel-formula import, plus dynamic charts to display results. Marketers in our review corpus run multiple ROI calculators on it successfully and report strong conversion. The important caveat: the native formula engine has documented accuracy problems on complex calculations, and Excel-formula import is reported as slow to the point of being unusable. So Outgrow is excellent for standard and moderately complex calculators, but if you depend on intricate financial formulas, test your exact calculations carefully during the free trial before committing.
  • What can you build with Outgrow?
Outgrow supports nine interactive content types from a single no-code builder: numerical calculators, outcome quizzes, graded tests and assessments, ecommerce product recommendations, polls, chatbots, surveys, forms and landing pages. Each can use conditional branching with AND/OR logic, dynamic charts, lead scoring and audience segmentation. You publish as a full-screen page, an iframe embed, a popup, a chat window, an exit-intent overlay or on a subdomain. The common thread is interactive lead capture: instead of a static contact form, you give visitors a quiz, calculator or assessment that delivers a personalized result while capturing and qualifying them as a lead.
  • Does Outgrow integrate with HubSpot and other CRMs?
Yes. Outgrow connects natively to HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, AWeber and GetResponse, with Zapier, an API key and JSON webhooks covering anything not native. One practical note from real reviews: HubSpot setup can be more involved than expected and the documentation could be clearer, though users report support helps resolve it. Two technical requirements matter, advanced data like quiz scores only passes on Freelancer Pro and above (lower tiers send name and email only), and any form connected to a CRM must include an email field or the integration will not fire. Plan your tier around the data you actually need to push.
  • Who is Outgrow best for?
Outgrow is built for marketers and growth teams that want interactive lead capture without a developer, agencies, B2B marketing teams, demand-generation specialists and solopreneurs running quizzes or calculators. It is a strong fit if you want to replace static forms with calculators, assessments or quizzes that score and qualify leads into a CRM. It is a weaker fit if you only need simple static forms (cheaper tools exist), if you are a developer wanting an API-first product, or if you already run a marketing suite with native quiz and calculator modules. Match the plan to your requirements, since over-buying is the most common regret reviewers mention.
  • Is Outgrow worth it in 2026?
For the right team, yes. Outgrow is one of the most complete interactive content engines on the market, the breadth of content types, the 1,000+ templates, the lead scoring and the consistently praised support make it a genuine asset for lead generation. We scored it 4.0/5. The reasons it is not higher are real: the native formula engine has accuracy bugs on complex calculations, and the pricing jumps sharply from $45 to $115/month with no middle tier. If interactive calculators and quizzes are central to your funnel and you can sit on the right plan, it is worth it. Use the 7-day free trial to validate your specific calculators before you pay.
