The Apify agency.Clean data, every run.

A generic Store Actor rarely matches your target, and a scraper that works once gets blocked at scale. We build custom Actors for your exact sites, beat anti-blocking with proxy rotation and retries, and push clean datasets to your stack via the API and webhooks.

What we do

An Apify agency delivers clean data, not just a running scraper.

Anyone can launch a Store Actor. Building one for your real target, keeping it unblocked at scale, and delivering data your team can use is a different job. Here are the four things we own.

Method · 4 stages

We build Apify scrapers like a production pipeline, not a one-off script.

Most scraping projects die the same way: an Actor that works in a demo, no proxy strategy, no monitoring, and it returns nothing the week a target changes its markup. So we treat it like infrastructure: scoped against the real site, hardened with proxy rotation and retries, delivered as clean datasets, and scheduled with alerts so a quiet failure surfaces fast.

  • Audit · map your targets, the data you need, and whether scraping is even the right tool
  • Build · custom Actors on Crawlee, with anti-blocking and proxy rotation tuned per target
  • Deliver · structured datasets pushed to your API, sheets or warehouse via webhooks
  • Operate · scheduled runs, monitoring and alerts, with the setup handed to your team

We run real Apify pipelines in production.

We don't sell a partner tier. We build on Apify for real data pipelines, so we set it up the way it actually holds: custom Actors on Crawlee, proxy rotation tuned per target, retries on the request queue, and monitoring on every run. That's exactly what's missing when a project ends at a scraper that worked in the demo.

  • We build on Apify for real production data pipelines, so we set up anti-blocking, proxies and retries the way they actually hold, not the way a quick demo suggests.
  • Honest by default: if a site's terms forbid scraping or an official API gives the data cleaner and cheaper, we tell you before you pay us to build an Actor.
  • You leave with usable datasets and a documented setup, so your team can maintain and rerun the Actors without us.
  • No badge to sell. We're judged on whether the data keeps flowing clean after we leave, not on a partner tier.

What we set up

Apify at the core, your data pipeline around it.

We build the parts that turn raw scraping into reliable, clean data, then connect them to where your team already works. Here's what a real Apify project covers.

Free audit · 60 minutes

We scope your scraping target, you leave with a plan.

Before quoting anything, we take 60 minutes to look at your targets, the data you need, and how it has to land in your stack. You leave with an honest read on whether scraping is the right tool, what we'd build, and where anti-blocking will be the hard part. Zero pitch, just an engineer's take on your data problem.

  • An honest read on whether Apify scraping fits your target
  • The custom Actors worth building first
  • The proxy and anti-blocking strategy per target

Our approach

How we run an Apify scraping project.

Five steps, in order. We don't build before we've confirmed scraping is the right tool, we don't ship a pipeline without anti-blocking and monitoring, and your team owns it at the end. Each step has a deliverable and you sign off before we move on.

  1. Step 1 · Scraping audit

Map your targets and whether scraping is the right tool

We look at the sites you want data from, the volume and freshness you need, and how it has to land in your stack. Half the value is being honest early: if a target's terms forbid scraping, or an official API gives the same data cleaner and cheaper, we say so before you pay for an Actor. When scraping is the right call, you leave knowing exactly what we'll build.

  2. Step 2 · Build the Actors

Custom Actors on Crawlee for your exact targets

We build Actors on Crawlee with headless Chrome (Puppeteer or Playwright) for your targets, handling pagination, login walls, lazy-loaded content and dynamic JSON. Each Actor takes a clean input schema and writes a structured dataset. We test against the real site, not a fixture, so the Actor handles the edge cases that break a generic Store scraper.

  3. Step 3 · Beat anti-blocking

Proxy rotation and retries that hold at scale

A scraper that works once and gets blocked at scale is useless. We set up Apify's proxy layer (residential or datacenter per target), rotate sessions, tune fingerprints, and manage the request queue with retries and backoff. The goal is a run that finishes and returns the full dataset, even when the target tightens its bot defenses mid-crawl.

  4. Step 4 · Deliver clean data

Structured datasets pushed where your team works

Raw HTML is not the deliverable. We structure, deduplicate and validate the output, then push it to your API, Google Sheets, a database or your warehouse through Apify's integrations and webhooks. A webhook tells your stack when fresh data lands. You get clean, usable rows on arrival, not an export you still have to spend a day cleaning.

  5. Step 5 · Operate & hand over

Schedule, monitor, then get out of the way

Targets change their markup, so a scraper needs operating, not just building. We schedule the runs, wire monitoring and alerts so a broken Actor surfaces fast, and document the setup so your team owns it. If you want to go deeper, our Apify training covers Actors, Crawlee and the API end to end. If you want us on call for what scales next, we talk about that separately.

Proof · what the teams say

We're judged on the data that keeps flowing.

No partner badge to display, so we lead with what matters: feedback from the teams whose Apify pipelines we built, and whether the data kept arriving clean after we left. Our Trustpilot reviews come from those teams, not from a marketing deck.

  • The Actors and setup are documented and owned by your team
  • Anti-blocking and monitoring wired before anything runs at scale
  • Datasets validated, deduplicated and delivered clean
  • Trustpilot reviews come from the teams we built pipelines for

FAQ · Apify agency 2026

The questions we get asked on repeat.

  • What does an Apify agency actually do?
An Apify agency builds the custom web scraping and automation that the ready-made Actors in Apify Store don't cover, then runs it reliably. We build custom Actors on Crawlee with headless Chrome for your exact targets, set up proxy rotation and anti-blocking so runs hold at scale, structure the output into clean datasets, and push it to your API, sheets or warehouse through webhooks. The point is a data pipeline that keeps returning usable rows, not a script that works once and breaks the next time the target changes.
  • How much does an Apify scraping project cost?
It depends on scope: a single Actor against one site is nothing like a multi-target pipeline with anti-blocking, scheduling and warehouse delivery. We don't throw out a flat package. We start with a free 60-minute audit to scope your targets and confirm scraping is even the right tool, then quote a fixed scope. The Apify platform usage itself (compute units, proxies) you pay Apify directly; we set up the runs and proxy choices so the bill stays predictable instead of burning credits on retries.
  • Is web scraping with Apify legal and safe?
It depends on the target and the data, and being straight about it is part of the job. Public data is generally fair game, but a site's terms of service can forbid scraping, and some data is personal and regulated. We check the target's terms and the data type before building, keep request rates respectful, and if a site clearly forbids it or an official API gives the same data cleanly, we tell you up front. We'd rather lose a build than hand you a pipeline that becomes a liability.
  • What is an Apify Actor and do we need a custom one?
An Actor is a containerized program on Apify that takes a JSON input, runs a task (usually scraping or automation), and returns a structured dataset. Apify Store has thousands of ready-made Actors, and when one fits your target we'll just use it. You need a custom Actor when your target has quirks the generic scraper can't handle: a login wall, weird pagination, lazy-loaded data, or output that has to match a specific schema. We build those on Crawlee so they're reusable and maintainable, not one-off scripts.
  • Can you handle anti-blocking and proxies for large scrapes?
Yes, that's where most scraping projects actually fail. We use Apify's proxy layer (residential or datacenter, picked per target), rotate sessions, tune browser fingerprints, and manage the request queue with retries and backoff so a run survives rate limits and bot defenses. The aim is a crawl that finishes and returns the complete dataset, not one that silently drops half the rows when the target tightens its protection mid-run. We monitor for empty results so a quiet failure doesn't go unnoticed.
  • How do we get the scraped data into our own systems?
Through Apify's API, webhooks and integrations. We structure and validate the dataset, then push it to your API, Google Sheets, a database or your data warehouse, and fire a webhook so your stack knows the moment fresh data lands. Runs go on a schedule, and the key-value store holds any files or screenshots you need. The deliverable is clean rows in the system your team already uses, not a CSV someone has to download and reformat by hand.
  • When is Apify not the right fit?
We'll tell you honestly: if the target site's terms of service forbid scraping, or if it already exposes an official API that gives you the same data cleaner, cheaper and without the blocking arms race, then building an Apify Actor is the wrong move. Scraping shines when there's no API, the data is public, and you need it at scale on a schedule. When an official API exists, we'll usually point you to it instead. The free audit exists partly to catch this before you spend on a build you don't need.
  • Do you maintain the scrapers or just build them?
Both, and maintenance matters more than people expect, because targets change their markup without warning and a scraper that worked last month can silently return nothing. We schedule runs, wire monitoring and alerts on failures and empty datasets, and document the Actors so your team can fix and rerun them. If you want to go deeper, we run an Apify training covering Actors, Crawlee, proxies and the API so your team can build and maintain the next Actor without us.
