How much does Signable cost?
The real price of the e-signature tool, plan by plan, VAT included.
Short answer: Signable starts at £1.60 per envelope pay-as-you-go (credits never expire), or £31/mo ex VAT on the Small plan with 50 envelopes included. There is a 14-day free trial, no card required. The model's strength: you pay by envelope volume, not by seat, with unlimited users on every plan. But every price is ex VAT, so a UK business adds 20%. Below, every plan, the pay-as-you-go option, and what you truly pay based on your volume.

Signable, the key numbers
How much each Signable plan costs
Here is pay-as-you-go and the four monthly plans. The price follows the number of envelopes you send per month, not the number of users: seats are unlimited everywhere. Prices shown are ex VAT, so add 20% for a UK business. On annual billing, Signable gives you one month free (pay 11, get 12). One envelope can hold several documents.

Prices checked June 2026 on Signable's official pages and cross-referenced (Capterra, GetApp). Signable raised its prices on 1 June 2026: the old prices (PAYG £1.50, Small £29, Medium £69, Large £169, Corporate £299) are replaced by the ones shown here. All prices are ex VAT, so add 20% for a UK business. Check the exact price on signable.co.uk/pricing before you subscribe.
Signable's price climbs with volume
The shown price is ex VAT, and the right plan hinges on one variable: how many envelopes you send each month. Here is what really pushes the bill up.
The 20% VAT
Every Signable price is ex VAT. A UK business adds 20%. The Small plan at £31 becomes £37.20 inc VAT, Medium £87.60, Large £213.60. That is the first gap between the headline price and what actually leaves your account.
Going over your quota
Each plan includes an envelope quota (50, 150, 400, 750). Past that, every extra envelope costs £1.60, the same as pay-as-you-go. If you graze your ceiling every month, the next plan up is often cheaper than the overage fees.
PAYG with no API or branding
Pay-as-you-go is hard to beat for starting out (£1.60/envelope, credits that never expire), but it includes no API and no branded emails. The moment you want to automate via the API or brand your sends, you have to move to a monthly plan, starting at Small.
Feature tiers
Some features are gated to higher plans: Teams, Bulk Send and SSO arrive at Medium, IP allowlisting and a dedicated account manager at Large, managed setup at Corporate. Needing one feature can force you onto a tier above your actual volume.
- Low, irregular volume? Pay-as-you-go is enough, no subscription.
- Sending more than 20 envelopes/mo? A plan quickly works out cheaper.
- Need the API? Small plan minimum, PAYG does not have it.
- Targeting 150 sends/mo? Medium is the most common tier.
- Always budget inc VAT: add 20% to the shown price.
How we work out the real cost
Signable's headline price does not tell you what you actually pay, for two reasons: it is ex VAT, and it depends on your monthly envelope volume. For a typical SMB real cost, we take an average of 150 envelopes per month (Medium plan), add UK VAT, and reason on annual billing. Here is the breakdown.
- Medium plan (ex VAT)150 envelopes per month, API included£73
- UK VATApplies to UK businesses+20%
- Monthly total inc VATThe real price paid each month~£88
- Over the yearAnnual: 11 months paid, 1 free~£963
Estimate for an SMB at 150 envelopes/mo. Adjust for your real volume and VAT status.
What you actually pay per month

Freelancer
A few signatures/mo
- Pay-as-you-go, around 5 envelopes
- No subscription, credits never expire
- API and branding not included
Active micro-business
~50 envelopes/mo
- Small plan (£31 ex VAT) + VAT
- API and branded emails included
- Unlimited users across the team
SMB
~150 envelopes/mo
- Medium plan (£73 ex VAT) + VAT
- Teams, Bulk Send and SSO
- About £963/yr on annual billing
Larger org
~400 envelopes/mo
- Large plan (£178 ex VAT) + VAT
- IP allowlisting, dedicated account manager
- Beyond 750/mo: Corporate or Bespoke
Estimates with UK VAT 20% included (June 2026). Signable's price follows envelope volume, not seat count: a team of 3 or 30 pays the same platform rate at a given volume. That is the opposite of per-user tools. If you regularly overshoot your quota, moving to the next plan up costs less than buying envelopes one by one.
Signable's price versus the alternatives
Signable's volume model (and its unlimited users) changes everything against per-seat tools. Here are the entry prices next to DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and Yousign.
Entry prices checked June 2026. Different billing models (volume vs seat).
Signable
Billed per envelope
- Unlimited users on every plan
- Pay-as-you-go, no subscription
- No permanent free plan
DocuSign
Billed per user
- Personal capped at 5 envelopes/mo
- Standard £20/user/mo (100 env./yr)
- No free plan, priced per seat
Dropbox Sign
Billed per user
- Free plan: 3 requests/mo
- Essentials: unlimited requests
- Per-seat pricing, in USD
Yousign
European, per user
- Free plan: 2 requests/mo
- Plus: €23/user/mo, unlimited
- EU eIDAS, priced per seat
Entry prices checked June 2026 on official pages. Signable bills by envelope volume with unlimited users, where DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and Yousign bill per seat: their price climbs with team size, Signable's does not. In return, Signable has no permanent free plan (Dropbox Sign and Yousign do), and its PAYG cuts the API and branding. DocuSign prices in GBP (+VAT), Dropbox Sign in USD, Yousign in EUR.
So, is Signable expensive?
Our take after testing it: for the UK market and mid-size volumes, value is solid, as long as you reason in inc-VAT terms. Here is when it pays off, and when it stings.
Good value if…
You have a team that signs regularly and you want unlimited users without paying per seat. At £1.60 an envelope on PAYG or £31/mo on Small, with the API and branding included from the first paid plan, Signable is one of the best value picks on the UK e-signature market.
Too pricey if…
You want something permanently free, or a tiny usage with branding. Signable has no ongoing free plan, and PAYG cuts the API and branded emails. In that case, Dropbox Sign or Yousign, which offer a free tier (3 and 2 requests/mo), may be enough to start without paying anything.
How to pay less
Stay on pay-as-you-go while your volume is irregular, pay annually to get a month free, and pick the envelope tier as close as possible to your real volume. If you overshoot your quota every month, the next plan up costs less than envelopes billed one by one. And remember to fold VAT into your budget.
- Pay annually: one month free (pay 11, get 12).
- Start on pay-as-you-go if your volume is irregular.
- Pick the envelope tier closest to your real volume.
- Use the 14-day free trial, no card, to validate the tool.
- Always budget inc VAT: add 20% to the shown price.
Frequently asked questions about Signable pricing
How much does Signable cost per month?
Signable starts at £1.60 per envelope pay-as-you-go, with no subscription, or £31/mo ex VAT on the Small plan, which includes 50 envelopes. The higher plans rise to £73/mo (Medium, 150 envelopes), £178/mo (Large, 400 envelopes) and £314/mo (Corporate, 750 envelopes). All these prices are ex VAT: for a UK business, add 20% VAT. The Small plan therefore works out around £37.20 inc VAT. The smart move is to start on pay-as-you-go if your volume is irregular, then switch to a plan once you send more than 20 envelopes per month. How much does Signable cost per year?
On annual billing, Signable gives you one month free: you pay for 11 months and get 12. The Small plan works out at £341/yr, Medium at £803/yr, Large at £1,958/yr and Corporate at £3,454/yr, all ex VAT. With UK VAT at 20%, an annual Medium plan costs around £963 inc VAT. Annual has another upside: all of the year's envelopes are allocated upfront, handy if your activity is seasonal. Always check the exact price on the official page before paying, as the tiers changed on 1 June 2026.Does Signable have a free plan?
No, Signable has no permanent free plan. It does offer a 14-day free trial, with no card required, to test the tool. The closest thing to a no-fixed-cost entry is pay-as-you-go: you only pay for envelopes you send, at £1.60 each, and credits never expire. A month with no sends costs nothing. If you genuinely want an ongoing free tier, Dropbox Sign (3 requests/mo) and Yousign (2 requests/mo) offer one, whereas Signable bets on PAYG flexibility rather than a free tier. Why does Signable bill per envelope and not per user?
It is the model choice that sets Signable apart from DocuSign, Dropbox Sign or Yousign. You pay based on the number of envelopes sent per month, and users are unlimited on every plan, including pay-as-you-go. One envelope is a single send and can hold several documents. In practice, a team of 3 or 30 pays the same platform rate at a given volume, where a per-seat tool sees its bill climb with each new user. That is Signable's main pricing advantage for teams that are growing. Is VAT included in Signable's price?
No. Every price Signable shows is ex VAT. For a UK business, you add UK VAT at 20%. The Small plan goes from £31 to £37.20 inc VAT, Medium from £73 to £87.60, Large from £178 to £213.60 and Corporate from £314 to £376.80. That is the first gap to fold in between the advertised price and what you actually pay. If your business reclaims VAT, the net cost drops back to the ex-VAT price, but your cash flow still carries the inc-VAT amount at each billing date. How much does an extra envelope cost on Signable?
Each plan includes a monthly envelope quota: 50 on Small, 150 on Medium, 400 on Large, 750 on Corporate. Once that quota is used up, each extra envelope is billed at £1.60 ex VAT, exactly the pay-as-you-go rate. If you regularly exceed your ceiling, do the math: moving to the next plan up is often cheaper than stacking overage fees. For example, going 50 envelopes over the Small plan costs £80 in overage, whereas Medium is only £42 more and includes 100 extra envelopes. Is Signable cheaper than DocuSign?
It depends on your team. DocuSign bills per user: £8/mo for Personal (capped at 5 envelopes and 1 user), then £20/user/mo for Standard. Signable bills by envelope volume with unlimited users, which makes it clearly cheaper as soon as several people sign. For a team of five, DocuSign Standard costs £100/mo in seats, where Signable Medium stays at £73 ex VAT for everyone. That said, for solo and very occasional use, Signable's PAYG or a small DocuSign plan are roughly even.Is Signable's API included in the price?
Yes, but not on every plan. The API is included at no extra cost on all paid plans, from Small at £31/mo. It is not available on pay-as-you-go. In practice, if you want to automate document sending from your CRM or website, you have to move to at least a monthly plan. It is one of the two features, alongside branded emails, that justify leaving PAYG. Once you are on a plan, API access adds nothing to your bill.Is there a discount for paying Signable annually?
Yes. Annual billing gives you one month free: you pay 11 months and get 12, around 8% off. The Small plan goes from £31/mo to £341/yr, Medium to £803/yr. All of the year's envelopes are also allocated from the start, which helps smooth a seasonal volume. Registered UK charities are also reported to get 10% off the first year on annual billing, to confirm on the official page. The best lever to pay less is to combine annual commitment with the right envelope tier. Why did Signable's price go up in 2026?
Signable raised its UK prices on 1 June 2026. Pay-as-you-go went from £1.50 to £1.60 per envelope, and the monthly plans rose: Small from £29 to £31, Medium from £69 to £73, Large from £169 to £178, Corporate from £299 to £314, all ex VAT. If you still see the old prices on third-party comparison sites, they are out of date. Customers already on an annual commitment could lock in their rate before the increase. Always check the current numbers on signable.co.uk/pricing, as the tiers can still change.
