Teikametrics vs DataHawk 2026

Short answer: pick Teikametrics if your priority is automated PPC bidding on Amazon and Walmart, pick DataHawk if you need deep analytics piped into your BI stack. Same overall score (3.6/5) in our tests, completely different jobs.

The distinction that most comparison pages blur: Teikametrics acts on your ad spend (its ARI engine adjusts bids multiple times a day), while DataHawk observes and reports (keyword rankings, SKU-level profitability, Snowflake pipelines). Using one does not replace the other. This page tells you which to prioritize, and when pairing both makes sense.

The same five criteria we scored on each tool's review page. Scores are fixed from those reviews.

Round 1 · Ease of use

01 Round 1: getting started and staying in control.

Teikametrics
4.0/5
WinnerTeikametrics
DataHawk
3.4/5
Our verdictEase of use · Winner : Teikametrics

Teikametrics takes this 4.0 to 3.4, and the distance is real once you clear the Amazon API authorization step. That step is the one friction point: you need two separate Amazon authorizations (Advertising API and Selling Partner API), and the full sync can take two to three days. Beyond that, the platform is designed for non-experts. The goal-based workflow asks you to pick an objective (growth, profit, launch), then translates it into clear next-action recommendations. Multiple reviewers describe setup as genuinely easy and the dashboard as clean and easy to read.

DataHawk is harder on day one and harder on day thirty. The initial account linking is guided and comes with up to 60 days of historical data backfill, but the moment you want custom dashboards or want to push data into Power BI, you need someone with BI skills in the room. One G2 reviewer, a VP of Ecommerce, praises the UI as the best in the tracking category while noting that navigation gets confusing at scale. Another waits 30 to 60 minutes between report generation requests to avoid errors, which is real friction for daily analytical work. Sherlock, the AI layer that should eventually reduce manual review, was still in private beta as of June 2026 with a public rollout in progress.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you want a PPC tool a non-expert can operate from day one.

DataHawk

Choose DataHawk if you have a data-literate team and can absorb the BI setup curve.

Round 2 · Value for money

02 Round 2: the real price of each tool.

Teikametrics
2.9/5
WinnerTeikametrics
DataHawk
2.3/5
Our verdictValue for money · Winner : Teikametrics

Neither tool scores well here, for different structural reasons. Teikametrics takes it 2.9 to 2.3, but both are genuinely expensive relative to alternatives. Teikametrics Essentials runs $149 to $179 a month (20% off annual), and the 30-day trial requires no credit card on self-service plans. The catch is the step change above $10K in monthly ad spend: the model switches to a base fee plus 3% of all ad spend over that line. At $50K a month, that 3% is $1,200 on top of the base. One Trustpilot reviewer reported ad spend nearly doubling with ACoS climbing from 15% to 40%, and another cited charges after cancellation. The FBA refunds recovery is the real counterweight: for eligible sellers it recovers real money each month and can self-fund the subscription.

DataHawk's problem is opacity. There is no published price list. The pricing calculator at pricing.datahawk.co is the closest public entry point (a relatively recent addition), but it still asks you to contact sales for a firm quote. The credit-based model (1 tracked ASIN = 1 credit, 1 keyword = 1 credit, 1 category = 50 credits) means the bill scales with your catalogue, and you cannot know your actual cost before the sales conversation. No free plan, no free trial, no money-back guarantee. One G2 reviewer from 2022 calls it the best pricing for the features; others flag it as expensive. The absence of a low-risk entry point is the single biggest barrier.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you can verify value in the 30-day trial and monitor the 3% cliff.

DataHawk

Choose DataHawk if you run a large catalogue and the enterprise analytics value case clears your budget.

Round 3 · Features and depth

03 Round 3: depth in different directions.

Teikametrics
4.6/5
WinnerTeikametrics
DataHawk
4.4/5
Our verdictFeatures and depth · Winner : Teikametrics

Teikametrics edges this 4.6 to 4.4, and the gap is not about overall depth, it is about which depth matters to your operation. Teikametrics scores higher because its core function, automated bid management, is genuinely best-in-class. ARI adjusts bids several times a day and uses incrementality-aware logic: it weighs organic versus paid lift to stop spending on keywords you were already winning. That is a fundamentally smarter approach than rule-based bidding. Layer in full-funnel coverage (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, Sponsored Display on Amazon, plus Walmart ad formats), generative AI for listing creation and cross-marketplace porting, inventory-aware ad pacing, and automatic FBA refunds recovery, and the feature set for an active advertiser is genuinely complete. Honest gaps: keyword research thinner than Helium 10, and reporting depth insufficient for profitability analysis on its own.

DataHawk's depth is in analytics and connectivity. Keyword rank tracking across 20+ Amazon markets with daily updates and share-of-voice, SKU-level profitability signals, competitive intelligence on pricing and Buy Box shifts, white-label agency reporting, and native BI pipelines to Snowflake, BigQuery, Power BI, and Tableau. The MCP integration allows custom AI workflows on top of DataHawk's data. What it does not do is act on any of that data. Advertising analytics are read-only, there is no automated bidding, no listing publishing, no FBA refunds tooling. Sherlock AI, the anomaly detection layer, remained on a public rollout timeline through June 2026.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if ad automation and incremental bid intelligence are the priority.

DataHawk

Choose DataHawk if keyword tracking depth, BI connectivity, and agency reporting are the priority.

Round 4 · Customer support and assistance

04 Round 4: who picks up when it breaks.

Teikametrics
3.6/5
Tie
DataHawk
3.6/5
Our verdictCustomer support and assistance · Tie

An exact tie at 3.6 each, but the experience reaches that score differently on each side. Teikametrics splits sharply by plan tier. On managed editions, dedicated strategists are the platform's warmest asset: sellers name their analysts directly and describe them as a true extension of the team. The self-serve channels are solid (email, chat, Teikacademy, a structured help center), but the billing friction sits squarely in the support column. Documented complaints include charges after cancellation, refunds bounced between departments for two weeks, and no public SLA on self-service plans. A fair description: exceptional support when you pay for a dedicated human, frustrating when the issue is billing and you are on a lower tier.

DataHawk's support is technically strong in recent reviews. Trustpilot reviewers from May 2025 describe the team as responsive and precise in explaining data provenance. Enterprise accounts get a dedicated customer success manager plus guided proof-of-concept onboarding. The weaker spots: no confirmed live chat channel on standard tiers, self-service documentation cited as insufficient in at least one mid-2022 G2 review, and an older 2020 Capterra signal mentioning support quality issues. The API documentation at api.datahawk.co/api-docs is a genuine resource. Both tools have a real support floor and a real ceiling, just in different places.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you want a dedicated strategist and can budget for a managed plan.

DataHawk

Choose DataHawk if enterprise-grade technical onboarding and a dedicated CSM matter more than response speed.

Round 5 · Available integrations

05 Round 5: connecting to the rest of your stack.

Teikametrics
3.0/5
WinnerDataHawk
DataHawk
4.2/5
Our verdictAvailable integrations · Winner : DataHawk

DataHawk takes this 4.2 to 3.0, and the gap is decisive. DataHawk's integration list for a marketplace analytics tool is unusually deep: Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Amazon QuickSight, Qlik, Sisense, Metabase, Mode, Domo on the visualisation side; Snowflake and BigQuery as managed hosting; Azure Data Factory and Alteryx for ETL. The REST API has public documentation, a Python connector handles custom work, and MCP support lets external AI systems query DataHawk's data layer directly. Both Amazon (official Software Partner and Ads Verified Partner) and Walmart (approved Marketplace solution) connections are official, not scraped. The one caveat: a native Zapier listing is not confirmed, the connection may go API-via-Zapier.

Teikametrics is deep inside its lane and stops abruptly outside it. It connects thoroughly to Amazon (Seller Central, Advertising API, SP-API, DSP, AMC, Attribution) and Walmart (Seller Center, Onsite Display), and adds TikTok Shop. Custom API access exists for advanced tiers but requires a sales conversation and has no public documentation. There is no native Zapier connector, no CRM or ERP integration, and no data warehouse pipeline. If Teikametrics needs to be a node in a broader BI or data stack, the walls go up fast. Excellent for operating tightly in the Amazon and Walmart ecosystem; limited for anything beyond it.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you only need tight Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop connections.

DataHawk

Choose DataHawk if your stack includes a BI tool, data warehouse, or you need to export marketplace data at scale.

FAQ · 10 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Teikametrics vs DataHawk: which is better for Amazon sellers?
It depends on what you need from a tool. Teikametrics is better if you want automated PPC bidding: its ARI engine re-bids multiple times a day using incrementality-aware logic. DataHawk is better if you want analytics depth and BI connectivity: keyword rankings across 20+ markets, SKU-level profitability, and native pipelines to Snowflake or Power BI. Many serious Amazon operations use both, one for acting on spend, one for understanding performance. If you can only pick one, the question is whether your biggest bottleneck right now is ad efficiency or data clarity.
  • Can you use Teikametrics and DataHawk together?
Yes, and for mid-to-enterprise brands it is a natural pairing. Teikametrics handles automated bid management and FBA refunds recovery; DataHawk handles keyword rank tracking, competitive intelligence, and feeding your BI stack. There is no native integration between the two, so they run independently, but they serve different layers of the same operation. The cost of running both is the main consideration. Teikametrics Essentials from $149/mo plus DataHawk's custom quote can add up quickly, so size the combined spend against the value each layer returns.
  • What is the Teikametrics 3% fee and how does it affect the real cost?
Above $10K in monthly ad spend, Teikametrics charges a base fee plus 3% of all ad spend over that line. The $149 to $179 Essentials tier covers up to $10K without the 3% kicker. Once you cross that threshold, the Advanced plan kicks in at $1,199 to $1,430 a month base, and at $50K in monthly spend that is roughly $1,199 plus $1,200 in percentage fees, so around $2,400 a month. One Trustpilot reviewer called it small print that catches sellers off-guard. The FBA refunds recovery can offset a meaningful portion of this cost for eligible sellers, but run the break-even math for your specific spend level before committing.
  • Does DataHawk have a free trial or free plan?
No. There is no public free trial or free plan on DataHawk's website. The standard evaluation path is a demo with the sales team, followed by a guided proof-of-concept. The pricing calculator at pricing.datahawk.co gives an indicative cost estimate, which is more transparency than the pure custom-quote model that existed before, but a firm price still requires talking to sales. Annual subscriptions only. If you need a low-risk entry point before committing budget, Teikametrics offers a 30-day no-card Essentials trial, and Helium 10 has published plans with a free tier.
  • Is DataHawk good for keyword rank tracking on Amazon?
Yes, and it is one of DataHawk's strongest arguments. Daily keyword rank tracking across 20+ Amazon marketplaces with search volume data and share-of-voice reporting is a feature set that outpaces most all-in-one tools. One G2 reviewer, a Senior Amazon SEO and PPC Specialist, describes it as exactly the tracking implementation they had been building manually. The visual representation of rank changes against ad spend and sales data is singled out repeatedly as better than Helium 10. The honest caveat: to get real value from that data you need to pipe it into a BI tool, which requires setup time and BI skills that not every team has.
  • What is DataHawk Sherlock and is it available in 2026?
Sherlock is DataHawk's AI anomaly-detection agent. It is designed to identify meaningful shifts in marketplace performance, diagnose likely root causes, and surface recommended actions instead of requiring you to dig through dashboards manually. As of June 2026, Sherlock is in a rollout phase, moving from a closed beta to broader availability. DataHawk maintains a waitlist page at datahawk.co/sherlock/waitlist. The MCP integration, which lets external AI tools query DataHawk's data layer, is live and separate from Sherlock. If Sherlock's anomaly detection is a deciding factor, check the current rollout status with DataHawk directly before signing.
  • Does Teikametrics work for Walmart sellers, not just Amazon?
Yes. Teikametrics manages Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands on Walmart, adds Walmart Onsite Display on higher tiers, and covers TikTok Shop from the same platform. Amazon remains the deepest integration with full coverage of Ads, SP-API, DSP, and Amazon Marketing Cloud, but multi-marketplace management is a genuine capability, not an afterthought. The gap is Instacart: Teikametrics does not support it, while a competitor like Perpetua does. If Instacart is part of your retail-media footprint, factor that in.
  • What BI tools does DataHawk connect to?
DataHawk connects natively to Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Amazon QuickSight, Qlik, Sisense, Metabase, Mode, and Domo. For data warehousing, Snowflake and BigQuery are available as managed hosting options. Azure Data Factory and Alteryx are listed for ETL workflows. A public REST API and Python connector handle custom integration needs. MCP support allows external AI tools to query DataHawk's data layer directly. A Zapier connection is mentioned in the integration documentation but is not confirmed as a native listed app. This BI coverage depth is significantly deeper than Teikametrics, which has no native warehouse or BI pipelines.
  • Which is better for Amazon agencies, Teikametrics or DataHawk?
DataHawk has the stronger agency-specific feature set: white-label reporting with role-based access, scheduled report templates, and multi-account dashboards are built for client delivery. Teikametrics does not highlight agency reporting features in the same way. That said, if an agency's core deliverable is PPC performance management (bid optimization, spend efficiency, ACoS reduction), Teikametrics' AI automation is harder to replicate manually at scale. The best-fit answer often depends on whether the agency is selling analytics and reporting or hands-on ad management as its primary service.
  • Is Teikametrics or DataHawk better for small Amazon sellers?
Neither is ideal for small sellers, but Teikametrics is the more accessible entry point. Its 30-day no-card Essentials trial at $149 to $179 a month lets you test the AI bidding before spending. DataHawk has no self-serve trial and requires a demo, which is too much friction for a small seller testing a tool. For solo sellers or small brands under $5K a month in ad spend, cheaper alternatives like SellerApp ($149/mo) or Helium 10 Adtomic are the more practical starting points. Both Teikametrics and DataHawk are optimized for sellers with larger catalogues or higher ad spend where their depth pays off.
