Teikametrics vs Carbon6 2026

Short answer: pick Teikametrics if you need to optimize advertising spend across Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop; pick Carbon6 if recovering FBA reimbursements and building an operational stack around them is the priority. Same Amazon ecosystem, very different jobs.

The angle nobody mentions: Teikametrics and Carbon6 announced a partnership in March 2024 and embedded Carbon6 reimbursement directly inside the Teikametrics dashboard. So in practice, the choice is less about one versus the other and more about which product earns the center of your stack, with the partner's feature available as an add-on inside it.

The same five criteria we scored in each tool's standalone review. Scores are fixed from those reviews.

Round 1 · Ease of use

01 Round 1: getting live without a manual.

Teikametrics
4.0/5
WinnerCarbon6
Carbon6
4.2/5
Our verdictEase of use · Winner : Carbon6

Carbon6 takes this 4.2 to 4.0, and the reason is its core reimbursement product. The flow is genuinely close to zero-touch: connect Seller Central once via the Amazon API, the team runs a 48-hour audit, and the Recovery Specialists handle everything from there. No spreadsheets, no manual claim filing. For a seller who just wants money recovered, there is nothing to learn.

Teikametrics is not hard, but it asks more. Setup requires two separate Amazon API authorizations (Advertising and Selling Partner API), and marketplace syncing takes two to three days for full data to land. Once inside, the dashboard is clean and the goal-based workflow is well designed, the ARI recommendations come in as clear next actions rather than raw data walls. Several G2 reviewers praised it as intuitive after the first week. But that first week is real overhead, and the ARI engine's learning phase runs 48 to 72 hours before bids stabilize.

The catch for Carbon6 is the suite. SoStocked and PixelMe both need genuine configuration time, and because they were acquired separately the UX is inconsistent. Finding the right login page is also harder than it should be now that carbon6.io redirects to spscommerce.com. So: reimbursement onboarding goes to Carbon6, full-suite onboarding is roughly equal.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you want guided ad optimization with clear goal-based recommendations.

Carbon6

Choose Carbon6 if your priority is reimbursement recovery with zero seller-side effort.

Round 2 · Value for money

02 Round 2: where the bill actually lands.

Teikametrics
2.9/5
WinnerCarbon6
Carbon6
3.1/5
Our verdictValue for money · Winner : Carbon6

Carbon6 edges this at 3.1 to 2.9, but both scores are low because both pricing models have a variable tail that catches sellers off guard. Teikametrics charges a flat fee plus 3% of all ad spend over $10K per month on every plan, including the supposedly free Basic plan. A brand spending $50K monthly owes an extra $1,200 on top of the subscription, every month, regardless of whether the bidding engine is actually improving results. One Trustpilot reviewer described their monthly bill as far higher than expected because of that 3% clause buried in the contract.

Carbon6 reimbursement has no monthly fee and charges 25% commission only on funds Amazon actually pays back. That no win no fee structure de-risks the decision on paper. The problem is the rate: 25% is the expensive end of the reimbursement market, with Refully near 18% and TrueOps near 10% for essentially the same managed service. And since March 31, 2025 Amazon calculates reimbursements on manufacturing cost rather than sale price, which structurally cut the recoverable pool. A 25% commission on a smaller number is harder to justify than it was in 2024. The Carbon6 suite tools (SoStocked ~$97/mo, PixelMe ~$500/mo with a $500 onboarding fee and 6-month minimum) push total monthly cost well above $600 for a fully armed setup.

Carbon6 wins this round purely because the reimbursement model protects the downside, while Teikametrics' 3% fee exposes the upside regardless of actual performance. Both tools reward a careful read of the contract before signing.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if your ad performance gains reliably offset the 3% variable fee.

Carbon6

Choose Carbon6 if you want no-risk reimbursement recovery where you pay only on wins.

Round 3 · Features and depth

03 Round 3: raw capability and breadth.

Teikametrics
4.6/5
WinnerTeikametrics
Carbon6
3.8/5
Our verdictFeatures and depth · Winner : Teikametrics

Teikametrics wins this clearly at 4.6 versus Carbon6's 3.8, and ARI is the reason. Announced in December 2025, ARI is a patent-pending AI engine that unifies advertising automation, catalog optimization, inventory forecasting, and performance analytics into a single system. It adjusts bids multiple times a day with incrementality-aware logic, meaning it evaluates whether a paid click actually lifted a sale that would not have happened organically, then shifts budget accordingly. That is a materially smarter approach than rule-based bidding. On top of bidding, ARI Catalog uses generative AI to optimize product titles and listings across Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop, and ARI Inventory auto-scales ad spend when stock drops below healthy levels. The result is a genuinely unified operational engine, not a set of loosely connected modules.

Carbon6 is broad but shallower. The reimbursement service covers 7 claim categories credibly, and the vendor-cited 95.9% success rate on filed cases is a real strength. PixelMe's integration into the Amazon Seller Partner Appstore (September 2024) and its embedded link inside both Teikametrics and Jungle Scout dashboards are genuinely practical touches. But there is no bid AI, no catalog AI, no inventory-advertising feedback loop of the kind Teikametrics ships natively. The suite is assembled from acquisitions, and it shows in the consistency.

The honest gap: Teikametrics wins on advertising depth by a wide margin. Carbon6 wins on the reimbursement vertical, which is exactly one column in a wider tool comparison.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you need the deepest multi-marketplace ad AI with catalog and inventory sync.

Carbon6

Choose Carbon6 if managed reimbursement plus a flexible operational suite is the core requirement.

Round 4 · Customer support and assistance

04 Round 4: who answers when things go wrong.

Teikametrics
3.6/5
WinnerTeikametrics
Carbon6
3.4/5
Our verdictCustomer support and assistance · Winner : Teikametrics

Teikametrics takes this 3.6 to 3.4, and both tools have the same structural split: excellent support when you have the right tier, friction when you do not. Teikametrics' managed plans assign a dedicated marketplace strategist who acts as a genuine team extension, and reviewers name these analysts by name. The self-serve channels are solid with email, chat, a structured help center and Teikacademy training. The honest drag is billing: documented complaints about charges continuing after cancellation, refunds bounced back and forth, and no public SLA on lower plans.

Carbon6 delivers two dedicated Recovery Specialists per account on the reimbursement product, and that human ownership of claims is exactly the right model for a managed service. The G2 signal leans positive at around 4.3/5, and documented channels include phone, 24/7 live chat, and a knowledge base. But 23 G2 reviews is a thin base for a tool at this price point, and the SPS Commerce acquisition left resource currency unclear, support docs dated from before February 2025 may not reflect the current product. Sellers report onboarding friction on the wider suite tools.

The honest take: Teikametrics has more surface area of documented positive support feedback and a stronger training resource. Carbon6 has the specialist model that suits a managed reimbursement workflow. Teikametrics takes it by a half-point on the wider evidence base.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if you want training resources and higher-tier strategist access for advertising.

Carbon6

Choose Carbon6 if dedicated human specialists owning your reimbursement claims is what you need.

Round 5 · Available integrations

05 Round 5: how far each tool reaches beyond Amazon.

Teikametrics
3.0/5
WinnerCarbon6
Carbon6
3.6/5
Our verdictAvailable integrations · Winner : Carbon6

Carbon6 takes this 3.6 to 3.0 on breadth of connected surfaces. PixelMe ties into Facebook, Google, and Meta Ads for external traffic attribution, and it sits inside Amazon Seller Central via the Embedded Third-Party Apps Program. The Teikametrics partnership (March 2024) means Carbon6 reimbursement runs inside Teikametrics' dashboard. Jungle Scout embedded Seller Investigators for automated claim discovery. WallySmarter extends to Walmart.com. That is a wider set of live integrations across the ecosystem than Teikametrics can match today.

Teikametrics is deep where it counts but narrower in reach. The Amazon stack is thorough: Ads, SP-API, DSP, AMC and Attribution on Amazon, plus Seller Center and Onsite Display on Walmart, and TikTok Shop. A custom API exists for enterprise integration needs. But there is no native Zapier connector, no CRM or ERP link, and no Instacart support. The Carbon6 suite has the same limits outside the Amazon and Walmart ecosystem, but it wins this round because the PixelMe external ad attribution and the Jungle Scout and Teikametrics partnership connections push its practical integration count higher.

Neither tool builds well into a stack that lives outside Amazon or Walmart. If your brand's data sits in a CRM or data warehouse, both tools require custom work to connect. That limitation is symmetrical and keeps both scores in the 3.0 to 3.6 range rather than higher.

Teikametrics

Choose Teikametrics if your integration need is Amazon plus Walmart plus TikTok Shop, tightly managed.

Carbon6

Choose Carbon6 if external ad attribution (Facebook, Google) and cross-tool partnerships matter.

FAQ · 10 questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Are Teikametrics and Carbon6 direct competitors?
Not exactly. They target overlapping Amazon seller audiences but solve different primary problems. Teikametrics is an AI-powered advertising optimization platform; Carbon6 is built around FBA reimbursement recovery with a suite of operational tools around it. In March 2024 they announced a formal partnership: Carbon6 reimbursement is now embedded inside the Teikametrics dashboard, and Teikametrics advertising is accessible via the Carbon6 partner network. So the honest framing is choosing which platform anchors your stack, not replacing one with the other.
  • What is Teikametrics ARI and why does it matter in 2026?
ARI stands for Artificial Retail Intelligence, announced by Teikametrics in December 2025. It is a patent-pending AI engine that unifies advertising bid management, catalog optimization, inventory forecasting, and cross-marketplace analytics into one system. Before ARI, Teikametrics was primarily a bidding tool; with ARI it added generative AI for listing optimization and an inventory-to-ad-pacing feedback loop so budgets automatically reduce when stock runs low. It covers Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. The practical implication: the Essentials plan at $149/mo annual now includes the full ARI suite, which is a meaningful upgrade in capability per dollar compared to the pre-ARI pricing.
  • Is Teikametrics really free on the Basic plan?
The Basic plan has no subscription fee, but there is a 3% charge on any ad spend above $10,000 per month, which applies even on the free tier. A brand spending $30K monthly on ads owes $600 in Teikametrics fees even on the zero-subscription Basic plan. The Basic plan also does not include AI bidding capabilities, which is the core differentiator of the product. For most sellers who want actual optimization, the Essentials plan at $149/mo annual is the practical entry point, not the Basic plan.
  • How does the Carbon6 reimbursement 25% commission compare to alternatives?
The 25% commission is the higher end of the reimbursement market. GETIDA also charges 25%. Refully sits around 18% and TrueOps around 10% for essentially the same managed claim-filing and follow-up service. On a $50,000 annual recovery, the difference between Carbon6 at 25% and TrueOps at 10% is $7,500. Carbon6 partially offsets this with specialist depth and the wider suite, and the no win no fee model removes the downside risk. But if the only goal is recovering FBA money at the lowest commission rate, Carbon6 is not the cheapest option in the market.
  • Did the 2025 Amazon policy change affect Carbon6 recovery amounts?
Yes, and it affects all reimbursement services, not just Carbon6. On March 31, 2025, Amazon changed how it calculates FBA reimbursements, moving from sale price to manufacturing cost as the basis for the refund amount. This structurally reduced the dollar amount recoverable per item across every provider. For Carbon6 specifically, the implication is that the 25% commission now applies to a smaller pool than in 2024. This makes the rate comparison with cheaper alternatives like Refully or TrueOps more important to run before signing up.
  • Is Carbon6 still its own product or has SPS Commerce changed it?
SPS Commerce acquired Carbon6 for $210M and closed the deal in February 2025. The flagship reimbursement product, formerly called Seller Investigators, is now marketed as SPS Revenue Recovery on SPS Commerce pages. The carbon6.io domain still exists and redirects to spscommerce.com. The suite tools (SoStocked, PixelMe, ManageByStats) continue under the Carbon6 brand in most third-party listings. The practical effect for a buyer is brand confusion: searching Carbon6 often lands on SPS Commerce pages, some help resources are dated from before the acquisition, and pricing for the suite has become less transparent, with most bundle costs now requiring a demo request.
  • Can Teikametrics do reimbursement recovery without Carbon6?
Yes, to a degree. Teikametrics includes automated refunds recovery as part of its ARI suite, and it launched an embedded FBA Reimbursements feature powered by Carbon6 Seller Investigators inside the Teikametrics dashboard in March 2024. So a Teikametrics user on the Essentials plan or above can access Carbon6 claim recovery without separately signing up for Carbon6. The Carbon6 commission structure (25%) still applies to funds recovered through that embedded flow. For sellers who want to avoid a second platform login entirely, this integration is the practical path.
  • Teikametrics vs Carbon6 for a seller spending $20K per month on ads, who wins?
At $20K monthly ad spend, Teikametrics charges the Essentials base ($149/mo annual) plus 3% of the $10K over the threshold, which is an extra $300, for a total of around $449/mo. That is a real number to justify against measurable ROAS improvement from ARI. Carbon6 does not manage Amazon PPC bids at all, so for advertising optimization Teikametrics has no equivalent on the Carbon6 side. The sensible outcome at this spend level: use Teikametrics for ads and take advantage of the embedded Carbon6 reimbursement feature inside the Teikametrics dashboard rather than paying 25% separately.
  • Which tool is better for a small Amazon seller under $5K monthly ad spend?
Teikametrics at $149/mo annual is a reasonable entry point for AI bid optimization even at that scale, and the 3% overage does not trigger until spend crosses $10K. Carbon6 reimbursement remains free to start with no monthly fee, and a small seller still accumulates some level of missed FBA claims over time. The honest answer: both are accessible at small scale, but Carbon6 reimbursement provides a clearer return on a no-risk basis, while Teikametrics asks a $149 flat fee commitment before proven results.
  • Teikametrics vs Carbon6 vs Helium 10: what is the right stack?
They serve different layers. Helium 10 is the broadest research and seller suite with product discovery, keyword tools, and a listing optimizer, it dominates on toolset breadth for research-phase work. Teikametrics plugs into the advertising layer with deeper bid AI than Helium 10 Adtomic for sellers who primarily need PPC optimization. Carbon6 plugs into the recovery layer for FBA reimbursements and external traffic attribution. A common stack for a serious mid-market Amazon seller: Helium 10 for research, Teikametrics for ads (with Carbon6 reimbursement embedded), and SoStocked or another inventory tool for forecasting.
