How Much Does Brevo Cost?
The real price of the all-in-one marketing platform, plan by plan, products included.
Short answer: Brevo has a free plan (300 emails a day, up to 100,000 stored contacts), then paid plans from about $7/month on Starter with annual billing. The big difference versus rivals: the Marketing platform bills by the number of emails sent, not by contact count. So a large list you mail rarely costs far less. But Brevo also sells several products separately (Sales CRM, Conversations, Transactional). We walk through every plan and what you really pay for your profile.

Brevo, the key numbers
What each Brevo plan costs
These are the Marketing platform plans, the core of Brevo. The price tracks the volume of emails you send per month, not your contact count. The other products (Sales CRM, Conversations, Transactional) are billed separately, covered just after. Annual billing saves you roughly 10% on the paid plans.

Prices checked June 2026 and cross-referenced across several sources. Brevo bills the Marketing platform by emails sent per month: the tiers (5,000, 20,000, 100,000 emails and so on) drive the price, not list size. Exact prices in your currency vary by location, check the official page. A higher-volume Professional plan also sits between Business and Enterprise.
Brevo, several products billed separately
The Marketing platform price only covers email and SMS. Brevo sells several products on their own, and the bill can climb when you stack them. Here is what each piece costs.
Marketing Platform (email + SMS)
The core product: email campaigns, SMS, automations, landing pages. This is the module detailed in the table above, billed by emails sent. Free plan, then from ~$7/month (Starter) and ~$16/month (Business) annually.
Sales Platform (CRM)
A basic CRM (contacts, deals, pipeline) is included free on every plan. The advanced features (sales automation, calling, reporting) come via the Sales Essentials and Sales Advanced add-ons, billed per user. Expect several dozen dollars per user per month depending on the tier.
Conversations (live chat)
Basic live chat is included on the free plan. The Pro version, with chatbots, automated triggers and a unified inbox (chat, email, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp), costs $15/user/month.
Transactional (SMTP/API)
Transactional email (confirmations, receipts, password resets) is included on every plan, free plan included, via API or SMTP. You can also buy pay-as-you-go email credits, no subscription, which do not expire.
- Sending newsletters only? The Marketing platform alone is enough.
- Want to track deals? The basic CRM is free, the advanced one costs extra.
- Want chat with chatbots? Conversations Pro is $15/user.
- Sending transactional email? Included, even on the free plan.
- Want the Brevo logo gone? Free on Business, paid add-on on Starter.
How we size the real cost
Brevo's price depends on two things people often confuse: the number of stored contacts (unlimited on paid plans) and the number of emails sent per month (which sets your price tier). To size the real cost, we think in emails sent = contacts × campaigns per month, on the Marketing platform with annual billing.
- List sizeUnlimited on paid plans, does not set the priceContacts
- Send frequencyThis is what drives the billed volume× campaigns
- Emails/monthThe real price lever at BrevoTier
- Added productsAdvanced CRM, Conversations Pro, dedicated IP+ add-ons

What you actually pay per month
The price hinges mostly on your send frequency. Three typical profiles on the Marketing platform, annual billing, assumptions stated.
Estimates in USD, annual. Any add-ons not included.
Small list
500 contacts, 2 sends/month
- ~1,000 emails/month: the free plan covers it
- 300 emails/day available, plenty of headroom
- Only the Brevo logo may hurt your branding
SMB
5,000 contacts, 4 sends/month
- ~20,000 emails/month: Starter 20K plan
- Want the logo gone? Move to Business (~$62)
- Far cheaper than Mailchimp (~$100)
High volume
50,000 contacts, 8 sends/month
- ~400,000 emails/month: high Business tier
- Dedicated IP recommended (~$21/month)
- A rarely-mailed list bills even lower
Estimates with annual billing (June 2026), based on Marketing platform tiers. Contacts are unlimited on paid plans: it is the volume of emails sent that drives the price. So a large list you mail rarely stays cheap on Brevo, where Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign bill you for every contact.
Brevo's price versus the alternatives
Brevo's model (billing per email sent) changes everything on large lists. Here is how the entry prices line up against Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign, which bill per contact.
Entry prices checked June 2026. Different billing models.
Brevo
Billed per email sent
- Free plan: 300 emails/day
- Unlimited contacts on paid plans
- Large, rarely-mailed list = low bill
Mailchimp
Billed per contact
- Limited free plan (500 contacts)
- 5,000 contacts: ~$100/month
- The bill climbs with list size
ActiveCampaign
Billed per contact
- No free plan (14-day trial)
- 5,000 contacts: ~$61/month
- Powerful automations, higher price
Entry prices checked June 2026 on the official pages. Brevo's differentiator: it bills by the volume of emails sent, not by contact count. On a large, lightly-mailed list the price gap becomes huge. Conversely, a small list mailed very often can cost a little more than rivals: it all comes down to your send frequency.
So, is Brevo expensive?
Our take after testing it: for the right profile, Brevo is one of the best value-for-money options out there. Here is when it pays off, and how to pay less.
Good value if…
You have a large list you do not flood with campaigns. Because Brevo bills per email sent rather than per contact, a 35,000-person list mailed sensibly can run around $65/month, where Mailchimp tops $350. The free plan, meanwhile, easily covers a beginner setup.
Less appealing if…
You have a small list but send very often. The cost tracks email volume, so many sends to few contacts can end up pricier than a per-contact rival. And if you want the advanced CRM, Conversations Pro and a dedicated IP, add up those separately billed products carefully.
How to pay less
Start on the free plan to validate the tool, pay annually to save roughly 10%, and only subscribe to the products you need. Keep the Brevo logo while branding is not critical, and pick the email tier that fits your real send frequency as tightly as possible.
- Start on the free plan: 300 emails/day, no credit card.
- Pay annually: roughly 10% off the paid plans.
- Pick your email tier as close as possible to your send frequency.
- Keep the Brevo logo on Starter while branding is not a concern.
- Add advanced CRM, Conversations Pro or a dedicated IP only if needed.
Frequently asked questions about Brevo pricing
How much does Brevo cost per month?
Brevo has a free plan that lets you send up to 300 emails a day, about 9,000 a month, while storing up to 100,000 contacts. Paid plans start around $7/month on Starter with annual billing, then about $16/month on Business, for a starting volume of 5,000 emails a month. The price rises with the volume of emails sent, not with your contact count. Alongside the Marketing platform, Brevo also bills the advanced CRM, Conversations Pro and certain options separately, so add those if you need them.Does Brevo have a free plan?
Yes, and it is generous. Brevo's free plan lets you send 300 emails a day, with no credit card, while storing up to 100,000 contacts. It includes the email editor, the basic CRM, basic live chat and transactional email. The main limits are the required Brevo logo, a single user, restricted automations and basic analytics. For a beginner setup or a small, lightly-mailed list, it is often enough to pay nothing at all.Why does Brevo bill per email instead of per contact?
It is the model choice that sets Brevo apart from most rivals. On the Marketing platform you pay based on the number of emails sent per month, and your contacts are unlimited on paid plans. Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign, by contrast, bill by the number of stored contacts. In practice, if you have a large list you mail rarely, Brevo works out much cheaper. If you have a small list you mail very often, the advantage partly flips. Is Brevo cheaper than Mailchimp?
In most cases yes, especially on large lists. For 5,000 contacts sending about 20,000 emails a month, Brevo runs around $26/month on Starter, where Mailchimp Standard asks roughly $100/month. The gap comes from the model: Mailchimp bills every contact, Brevo bills email volume. On a 35,000-contact list mailed lightly, switching from Mailchimp to Brevo has produced savings on the order of $285/month. A small, very active list is the only case where the gap narrows.Which Brevo products cost extra?
The Marketing platform (email and SMS) does not cover everything. Brevo sells the advanced Sales Platform separately (CRM with sales automation and reporting, billed per user), Conversations Pro (chat with chatbots and a unified inbox, at $15/user/month) and options such as a dedicated IP. The basic CRM, basic chat and transactional email, however, are included on every plan. Before sizing your budget, list the products you genuinely need to avoid surprises. Is transactional email included in Brevo?
Yes. Transactional email, such as order confirmations, receipts or password resets, is included on every Brevo plan, free plan included, via API or SMTP. You can use it within your plan's quotas or buy pay-as-you-go email credits, with no subscription, which do not expire. That is an advantage over tools that bill transactional email as a fully separate product. How do I remove the Brevo logo from my emails?
The Brevo logo is mandatory on the free plan and cannot be removed. On the Starter plan it is present by default but can be removed via a paid add-on. From the Business plan up, the Brevo logo is removed at no extra cost, included in the plan price. If your email branding matters, the math is simple: either add the add-on on Starter, or move straight to Business, which settles the issue with no extra option. Is there a discount for paying Brevo annually?
Yes. Annual billing saves roughly 10% on Brevo's paid plans versus the monthly rate. For example, Starter goes from about $9 to $7/month and Business from about $18 to $16/month on the entry volume. Brevo also offers around 15% off for verified nonprofit organizations. The best lever to pay less is to combine the annual commitment with an email tier set as tightly as possible to your real send frequency. How much does Brevo cost for a large list?
This is where Brevo shines, because it bills email volume rather than contacts. For 50,000 contacts mailed about 8 times a month, around 400,000 emails, expect roughly $320/month on a high Business tier annually, with a dedicated IP recommended on top. A list that size mailed rarely costs far less. By comparison, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign bill every contact, which pushes the bill up on large lists regardless of your send frequency. Can I cancel or change Brevo plans easily?
Yes, the subscription is managed from your account and you can change email tier or plan as your volume shifts. One watch-out often raised in reviews concerns compliance: Brevo monitors engagement rates closely, and importing an old or low-activity list can trigger an account restriction. Before migrating from another tool, clean your list and ramp up gradually. Also remember to export your contacts and stats before closing any account.
