BASEROW TRAINING: CREATE YOUR DATABASES WITHOUT LIMITS

We start with the basics: understanding what Baserow is, why it's different from Airtable or Notion, and how to navigate the interface. You'll create your first workspace, discover the logic of databases and tables, and understand how Baserow structures data. We'll also see the difference between the cloud version and self-hosting. You'll learn to create your first fields (text, number, date, selection), import existing data (CSV, copy-paste), and organize your workspace. By the end of this module, you have a functional workspace and understand the tool's philosophy. You know what you're getting into.

Now that we have the basics, we move to structure. This is where many people make mistakes — and we'll help you avoid the classic errors. You'll learn to create relationships between tables with link fields, understand when to use a link vs. a text field, and structure your data so it remains maintainable. We'll cover lookups to display data from linked tables, rollups to perform aggregate calculations (sums, averages, counts), and how to avoid shaky structures that become unmanageable. By the end, you know how to create clean relational databases. Your data is connected, not duplicated everywhere.

A database is good. Being able to view it in 10 different ways according to your needs is better. You'll master views in Baserow: classic grid, gallery, form. You'll learn to create advanced filters (and/or, multiple conditions), sort your data, and hide unnecessary fields depending on context. We'll see how to create dedicated views by team or use case: an "Active Clients" view for sales, a "Pending Invoices" view for accounting, a "Pipeline" view for management. By the end, you know how to create custom views for each need. One database, multiple ways to read it.

We move on to formulas. This is what transforms a simple database into a powerful calculation tool. You'll learn to create calculated fields with Baserow formulas: text concatenation, conditional calculations (if), date manipulation, and mathematical operations. We'll see how to combine formulas and lookups to create automatic indicators, how to handle special cases (empty fields, errors), and the most useful formulas for daily use. You'll also discover rollups to aggregate linked data: total orders from a client, number of completed tasks per project, average ratings. By the end, you know how to automate your calculations. No need to pull out Excel for totals or averages.

Baserow becomes truly powerful when you connect it to your stack. That's what we cover in this module. You'll learn to use Baserow's REST API: read data, create records, update, delete. We'll see how to generate your API token and secure your access. We'll connect Baserow to Make and n8n to create automatic scenarios: new lead in Baserow → welcome email, form filled out → automatic creation in the database, update → Slack notification. You'll also discover webhooks to integrate Baserow with n8n and trigger external actions. By the end, Baserow is no longer isolated. It communicates with your other tools and automates your processes.

We put everything together with concrete projects you can reuse directly. You'll build a mini-CRM with contact management, companies, and interaction history. We'll create a project management system with tasks, deadlines, and progress tracking. And an application tracking or order tracking tool depending on your need. We'll also see how to self-host Baserow if you want to keep total control, manage permissions for team collaboration, and best practices to maintain your database over time. By the end, you have ready-to-use templates and know how to build any system. You're autonomous on Baserow.
